| Baragon is one of the three Sacred Guardians of Yamato. In ancient times, Baragon rampaged through Japan until he was defeated and his spirit and body were entombed near a shrine at Mt. Myoko, the shrine acting to both imprison and honor the burrowing monster. However, while his body and spirit rested, the Japanese actually turned Baragon into a deity, worshipping and appealing to him until he became a guardian and protector of the Japanese land. In the year 2002. Baragon was awakened from his slumber to do battle with the attacking Godzilla who was rampaging across Japan. Baragon viciously attacked Godzilla as he attacked the city of Hakone, but the smaller Baragon was totally overpowered by Godzilla and was soon destroyed by the Monster King’s radioactive heat ray. | |
