G-Fest is the largest regular gathering of Godzilla and Japanese monster fans in the world. Held each summer, G-Fest typically attracts about 1000 or more attendees. G-Fest is a family-oriented convention which caters to a wide variety of interests within the kaiju genre. G-FEST features presentations and Q & A sessions by actors and crew from the Japanese Godzilla and Gamera series, fans presentations on topics of interest, contests and gaming, new and classic kaiju movies, the western world's largest kaiju-oriented dealers room, and lots of fun!
G-Fest XVIII or G-Fest`2011 will be held from July 15th through July 17th 2011 at the newly renovated Crowne Plaza O'Hare just outside of Chicago. That's right, we're going back to the Crowne! No guest or film information as of yet, but the following information will pertain to the event... The convention will also feature a giant dealers room, several sessions with the guests and events for fans young and old, many contests, video games, and an in-house kaiju channel at the hotel. Guest and film information will appear as it becomes available!

In 2010, G-FEST XVII was held from July 9th through July 11th 2010 at the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center, with hotels being the Rosemont Hotel at O’Hare and the Double Tree, just outside of Chicago. Guests this year were Godzilla Showa series actor Akira Takarada, actor Robert Scott Field, artist Bob Eggleton, and authors Dr. William Tsutsui & David Kalat. Films shown at the Pickwick Theater during this convention were Son of Godzilla, Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992), Godzilla 2000 Millennium, and Godzilla X Megaguirus (Thurs), Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster (Fri), and Gojira (Sat).
