| This movie was alright for the time period. Although, at the time this movie was made, Toho was making Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster in color and had much better special effects than this movie, but I bet Daiei made it in black and white so it would resemble the original Godzilla film (just a thought). Well, onto the synopsis... | |

| An aircraft equipped with nuclear weapons is shot down in the Arctic by U.S. fighter jets. The plane crashes and causes a nuclear blast, awakening Gamera, and ancient giant turtle. Gamera attacks a nearby ship, then heads to Japan, where he destroys a geothermal power plant and feeds on the flames. A plan to temporarily freeze Gamera and turn him on its back using explosives proves unable to stop him, and Gamera heads for Tokyo, wreaking havoc on the Japanese capital. A new plan to use a trail of fire to lure Gamera into a rocket that will be shot into space called the Z Plan is put into effect and Gamera is lead to Oshima, following a trail of flames. The next day, Gamera is lured into the center of a ring of fire and is trapped in the head of a huge rocket, and is then shot into space. | |
