| The "Godzilla’s Revenge" of the Gamera films, this film featured loads of stock footage mixed in with new footage to make up the story. All of Gamera’s old foes returned and he dispatched them, surprisingly in the same way he had done in the past. Yucky… onto the synopsis... | |

| Kilara, Mitan, and Marsha, three beautiful Japanese girls who actually come from space, live amongst the citizens of Japan, watching out for invading space aliens as they go to their jobs as a teacher, a pet store clerk, and car dealer. One day, the Xenon aliens head to Earth in order to conquer it. Knowing all about the three space women on Earth, they send a fourth space woman, named Giruge, down to the planet in order to stop Kilara, Marsha, and Mitan from helping out the Earth. At the same time, they begin to send down their monsters to begin their conquest of Earth. Seeing the danger the Earth is now in, the space girls try to come up with a plan, eventually meeting up with a young Japanese boy named Keiichi, who tells them all about Gamera, the giant turtle and friend to all children. Hearing this, the space girls decided that Gamera is Earth's only hope against the Xenon invasion and call upon him to save the Earth from all his old foes, which have returned thanks to the Xenon aliens and the magic of stock footage. Gamera successfully battles and defeats Barugon, Gyaos, Viras, Guiron, Jiger, and Zigra while the space girls finally come face to face with the evil Xenon girl, Giruge, and a large cat fight ensues, which ends when Giruge accidentally shoots herself in the leg. With all their monsters defeated, the Xenon aliens announce that they are going to destroy the Earth themselves and steer their giant space ship toward Earth, but Gamera moves in to intercept the spacecraft and collides with it head-on, killing himself and destroying the Xenon ship. Now with Gamera dead and the Xenon threat ended, the space girls proceed to take Keiichi on an aerial tour of the world in their flying van. Shortly after this film was made, Daiei Studios went out of business for seven years, but eventually returned and would make terrific Gamera films in the 90's. | |
