This film didn't really thrill me a lot at first, but I've grown to love it with all the catchy one-liners. "You rats... you stinkin rats what did you do to her!?" OK, enough of that, onto the synopsis...
Synopsis
When a new planet, dubbed Planet X, has been discovered in our solar system, a United Nations spaceship with a crew of two astronauts, Glenn and Fuji, is sent to investigate. During the long trip to the distant planet, Fuji finds out that his sister, Haruno, is dating a young inventor named Tetsuo, who has invented a high-intensity alarm that he sells to a toy company. The astronaut, of course, doesn’t approve of his sister’s decision and informs her not to do anything foolish until he returns to Earth. Meanwhile, the astronauts land on the surface of Planet X and begin to explore the planet, soon discovering that the aliens who live there are being attacked by the monster King Ghidorah, who they call “Monster Zero.” The aliens request to borrow Godzilla and Rodan from Earth in hopes of defeating the three-headed beast and offer a miracle drug to cue all disease in return for Earth’s cooperation. Glenn and Fuji return to Earth and report what they have seen before bringing the issue of Godzilla and Rodan before the Earth government and they debate the issue, eventually agreeing. The Xian saucers soon arrive on Earth and take both Godzilla and Rodan to their planet in energy bubbles towed by two saucers, also taking Fuji, Glenn, and Dr. Sakuri along with them. On Planet X, Godzilla and Rodan quickly dispose of King Ghidorah and the Xians give the astronauts a tape which they claim contains the formula for the miracle drug, but when the tape is played, Earth discovers it was all a trap. Planet X now controls Godzilla and Rodan along with King Ghidorah, and they plan to use them as weapons against Earth unless humanity surrenders to them. Meanwhile, Tetsuo follows Ms. Namikawa to the Xian Earth hideout and learns that she is an alien, but he is captured and so is Glenn. Namikawa confesses she is an alien to Glenn and that she has fallen in love with him against her orders and she is destroyed for this. However, Tetsuo activates one of his alarms and learns that the Xians are vulnerable to sound. Glenn and Tetsuo escape and inform the government, who broadcasts the sound all over the world, bringing down the Xian saucers and breaking the control over the monsters. After the control over them is broken, Godzilla and Rodan battle King Ghidorah, ultimately plummeting into the ocean with only King Ghidorah emerging, flying back into space.
