| Although some of the fight scenes between Godzilla and Ebirah look cool, the Godzilla costume could have looked better, he looked kinda like cookie monster. My favorite part was when Godzilla tore off Ebirah's pinchers. *Quote from Mystery Science Theater 3000* Joel Robinson as Godzilla...... "I'm on a seafood diet, I see food then I rip it out of your arm sockets!" Ah, good times... onto the synopsis... | |

| Ryota, brother of Yata, a man who has been missing at sea for months, is determined to find his lost brother. He enters his friends Nita and Ichino a dance contest for a sailboat, which he wants to use to go out and search for his brother, but the plan fails. After the contest, Ryota, Nita, and Ichino head out to the docks, searching for another boat, they find one they like and board it, but are suddenly threatened by Yoshimura, a man claiming to be the boat’s owner. After a bit of negotiating, Yoshimura calms down and allows the three men to sleep on the boat that night, but wants them off first thing in the morning. However, when they awake, they find themselves in the middle of the ocean, Ryota has taken the boat to search for his brother. But a storm soon arrives, wrecking the boat and beaching all four men on a nearby island, which is controlled by the Red Bamboo, a secret organization who has created a slave labor camp on the island. The island is also guarded by the giant lobster, Ebirah. A native girl named Daiyo escapes the Reb Bamboo and finds the men, leading them to a cave where they find Godzilla in a deep sleep. Daiyo tells the men that she comes from Infant Island and that Ryota’s brother has been on the island for several months now. Wanting to help the slaves, the men and Daiyo try to free them and raid the Red Bamboo’s base, which was actually a nuclear weapons factory. Ryota locates a helium air balloon and escapes to Infant Island, finding his brother there while Nita is captured by the Red Bamboo. Yoshimura, Ichino, and Daiyo then decide to awaken Godzilla by using a sword as a lightning rod. The plan is successful and Godzilla wakes up, only to instantly battle Ebirah and destroy the Red Bamboo’s base. Mothra then finally arrives and rescues all the slaves just before the island is engulfed in a nuclear explosion, but Godzilla manages to escape just before this happens and swims away. | |
