| Yongary, an ancient, legendary kaiju from South Korea, was awakened from his slumber after a nuclear bomb test was performed in China. Soon after the bomb test, reports begin flooding in that an earthquake is moving toward South Korea. Soon the earthquake arrives and Yongary emerges from underground. The legendary kaiju then sets about destroying the South Korean capital of Seoul, attacking everything in site, downing a few thousand gallons of oil, and making friends with a young Korean boy named Icho, whom he dances with. Soon the Korean government finds a way to destroy Yongary with his one weakness, ammonia. Yongary is bombarded with ammonia powder dropped from an overhead helicopter. Soon the legendary monster succumbs to the ammonia and collapses on the shore of a Korean river, writhing in pain and blood hemorrhaging out into the river until he finally dies. | |
