Another version of Mothra was also featured in “Rebirth of Mothra II”, that version being Aqua Mothra, a Mothra capable of traveling underwater. To accomplish this, the Aqua Mothra version was given a sleeker, flying fish-like design with four spiney fins that had the colors of the Rainbow Mothra wings. This marionette also had an interesting looking head that was slicked back and the antennae were longer and yellow. The eyes turned into sort of a frown, the face was redesigned, the mouth was made smaller, and the legs seemed to be eliminated all together. The body, however, retailed its color pattern or white with black and light blue areas.
