Aqualla

Prologue

Destroyah had been defeated, but at the cost of Godzilla Junior and most of the city.. As the Japanese government looked on they released that their defences had not worked, it was only because of Earth’s kaiju fighting for survival that anyone was alive. However, they still had one problem, Godzilla was alive, just, and his body was glowing a brighter red than ever before, he was going into meltdown. As the radiation levels soared all sirens blared, warning anyone who could to get to a safety bunker. Then just as the government lost all hope radiation levels plummeted, and standing out of the fire surrounding what was left of Godzilla’s body was Godzilla…? The radiation was being sucked back into Godzilla Junior, mutating him into a fully-grown, adult Godzilla. As he turned around to face the ocean, he saw a golden ash sparkling, signifying the final resting place of his brother, Fire Rodan. He may be alive, but he had lost his adopted father and brother. He let out a ferocious roar, tinged with sadness, and set off on his journey back to Ogasawara Island.

The G-Factor knew that they had to succeed where their predecessors had failed. They had to come up with a plan to rid the world of Godzilla, and they had to convince the Japanese government that it was worth backing. They had the plan, and in ten minutes they had the chance for the backing. G-Factor had realised that where the G-Force, the UNGCC and all other kaiju defence forces had gone wrong was that they had tried to combat Godzilla using mechanics as their primary weaponry. To kill a mutant, create a mutant. They had spent many months deciding what to mutate, after all, some of the most powerful creatures hated humans too much to risk, but it still needed to be an animal that was powerful, with unique natural weaponry that could be enhanced. Often, the best plans are the strangest. This was one of those.

The sun was blazing, the sky was clear…and nuclear reactors were about to explode. Professor Barker wanted a promotion badly; he ‘needed’ it. Nothing was large enough for his ego, even if it meant eliminating the opposition. Especially if it meant eliminating the opposition. After all, if he had no rivals, who would be the only choice for further promotions. He thought he was the best nuclear scientist in all Japan and wanted everyone else to know it. An eagle had just flown into a poacher‘s face, taking the man by surprise and knocking him into the lake. The eagle was fiercely protecting his territory. The sun was blazing, the sky was clear… and an eagle dove into the water.

Saturday 26th October 2002, 13:37

The explosion had far reaching effects. The rumblings had awoken something, and he was not happy. Far away, Godzilla had been hibernating, and was now preparing to destruct whatever had caused his disturbance. However, he was still tired, and not ready to take on the Japanese military.
Extremely large doses of radiation were seeping into the ground, the water and the atmosphere. Large enough to have it declared an international disaster; large enough to have all people in Japan and the surrounding area quarantined and forced to stay indoors. Large enough to resurrect the dead.
The ground erupted, and a kaiju that had not been seen in several years arose, a kaiju who had helped Godzilla last time it was alive, a kaiju known to the world as Fire Rodan. He flew up, body sparking with new energy. Gold dust fell to the ground as Fire Rodan shook himself, he was unsure what had bought him back, or how long it had been since he was last alive, but he still had his instincts and they were yelling at him. Something was coming, something much bigger than just a few reactors exploding, but for now, Fire Rodan wanted to hide. He was not fully rejuvenated. Soon, but not yet…

Elsewhere, more ground was moving. This time, the kaiju who released was one that reveled in destruction, living only for the kill, it was one who could threaten the world when it was ready; it was Grand King Ghidorah. As Grand King Ghidorah burst forth from the ground he let loose a blood curdling roar, one which traveled through to space. Grand King Ghidorah’s heads surveyed the surrounding area, it was desolate, no one had lived nearby since his defeat by Armor Mothra. As Grand King Ghidorah flapped his wings, the sun’s rays reflected off of them in many directions. He was back and once he was re-energized, the world would regret the day it did not bow down before him.

Out in space, there was a flash of light, like a miniature super-nova filling the night sky with a radiant blue light. Grand King Ghidorah had contacted Space Nebula M, demanding the partnership of one of the most evil kaiju ever created. Gigan materialized, spread his wings and started to fly to Earth, his chest-saw buzzing in anticipation. He did not need to wait in order to be ready to fight. He had been waiting for too long, and he was more prepared than when he tried to take on the Earth’s kaiju the last two times. His commanders from Space Nebula M had demanded that Gigan become stronger after his last two embarrassing defeats. He was now stronger and faster, with sharper claws. On top of this, his eye laser was working. This time, he also knew that there would be no second chance if he failed.

Sunday 3rd November 2002, 21:52

The fire had finally been put out, but not after the power plant, the surrounding forest and all life in the area had been destroyed. The power plant was just a shell; the ground was black, where people had stood there were now small piles of ash. The police were searching, unsuccessfully, for survivors. Only a few policemen were allowed to be near the area, and they had to be kitted up in pressurized, airtight suits. It was coming up to the end of their last shift and their last hope was the lake, which was now half as deep, with parts of building strutting through the water, like magnificent architecture. It somehow seemed like the debris had not just fallen, but as it had descended, it had been forced into a structure. One of the policemen stared down; sure he could see a spot of blue light. A spot that was rapidly growing into a ball, it was rising and for some reason the policeman couldn’t pull himself away from its deep glow. Aqualla surged through the water, grabbing the policeman and proceeded to carry him to where the nest was.

Sunday 3rd November 2002, 21:57

It had taken Aqualla a while to get used to his new body. He now had humanoid features, with longer legs and new arms, both ending in claws. His wings were larger and stronger; in fact, all of his muscles were larger in proportion to his body than they had been as an eagle. His face had become more elongated, with a sharper beak, and his eyes glowed a deep, yet bright blue. His head plumage was longer and sharper, and his brainpower had increased…he knew something had happened to him. He remembered the last person to run from the power plant, an hour and a half before the explosion, he could remember where his nest was, he could remember the small things, but his instincts were blurred. Somewhere in the subconscious of his mind, new instincts had formed, and while merging with some of the old instincts, they were kicking some of the old ones out. It was confusing, he could feel new power swelling up inside him, he could tell that he was still growing, but right now he was hungry, he wanted a fight and he had a person in his claws. As he dropped his prey and landed, he felt a sharp pain in his chest…he had been shot. He roared in pain, a roar that was part way between an eagle’s cry and a deep growl. As he swung around, his foot swiped at the policeman’s face, gouging out an eye with one claw. As the policeman’s body started to drop, it was his turn to feel a pain in the chest. He looked down and saw Aqualla’s foot gripping into his torso. Aqualla ripped out the policeman’s heart with his claws and as the policeman blacked out, Aqualla grabbed the policeman’s head in his hands and broke his neck. Now he knew how easy it was to kill humans, he was going to go for Professor Barker, but first, he was going to eat his first kill as Aqualla, the Water Eagle.

In a self-contained complex on the southeast coast of Japan, nine helicopters had just flown in and deposited their delicate cargo. The G-Factor had decided it was time to crash-test their new kaiju, and what better way to do this than put it in a battle against another kaiju. As two doors opened either side of the specially made battle-den the fight began. Out of one door came Kumonga, the giant arachnid, but as it stared towards the other door it saw nothing, then suddenly there was a ripple across the wall. Kumonga hunched up on its legs and prepared itself when a boulder suddenly levitated shot toward it. Kumonga only just managed to dodge the flying boulder, and then charged at where the boulder had come from, spraying his sticky web. A couple of strands appeared to hang in med-air, when the air seemed to ripple once more. Then, where the ripple stopped, a new kaiju appeared. It was reptilian, with a fierce yellow glow in its eyes. Her lower body was thick, while the torso and arms seem streamlined, with an abnormally thick neck. The whole body was covered with glistening scales. This was Chamelea. Chamelea unleashed her tongue, which extended smoothly yet with such speed that Kumonga could not escape it as it wrapped around one of his legs. Chamelea jerked her head backwards, whipping Kumonga into the air. The force was such that Kumonga’s leg was actually ripped from its socket, spraying green blood everywhere. Some of it landed on Chamelea, sizzling, causing Chamelea to run towards the pond in to middle of the battle-den and dive in. As she arose from the water Kumonga got back on its feet. Kumonga started to spray it webbing at Chamelea again, but this time, it was countered as a ball of mucus shot out from Chamelea’s mouth, aimed at Kumonga’s mouth, and it was a direct hit. Kumonga started to use his poison stinger to stab holes in the mucus plug. However that was taking too much time, Chamelea charged at the spider and started to hammer down a barrage of punches and kicks, disorientating Kumonga. Chamelea wrapped her tongue around Kumonga’s torso and jerked her head back. Kumonga was thrown against a tree, but Chamelea did not release her grip there. She continued to toss Kumonga about, against trees, boulders and the ground, until Kumonga was nothing but a bloody pulp. Content that she had won, Chamelea’s scales shimmered once more and she disappeared into the background.
Watching from the control room, G-Factor and all its backers cheered. Especially Professor Barker, who had not only devised Chamelea but also had so far, escaped suspicion from the police. Chamelea had won with minimal damage, and its natural abilities had been heightened greatly by the mutation. It looked like maybe Chamelea could win where Mecha-Godzilla, Mogera and all other human creations had failed. Annihilating Godzilla, The King of Monsters.

Friday 8th November 2002, 17:23

Sirens were blaring all around Japan. Gigan had been sighted and had broken through the atmosphere. He had already started blasting his eye laser in random directions, eager for some action. He landed in the central district of Tokyo and started his destruction. He stamped on the monorails and swung at the buildings with his claws, all the while firing his eye laser in all directions. Suddenly he was hit in the back by a fiery uranium beam and as he turned around, he saw Fire Rodan circling him. Fire Rodan landed nearby and started to flap his wings, blowing Gigan off of his feet. While being blown through the air, Gigan started to fly out of the way of Fire Rodan’s gust and circle around to attack. He landed close to Fire Rodan and started swinging his claws while rushing towards Fire Rodan. This took Fire Rodan by surprise, who took a couple of blows to the head before being able to retaliate by pecking Gigan in the face. All of a sudden, Gigan started his chest saw and Fire Rodan’s blood sprayed out, painting the buildings a deep crimson red. As Fire Rodan staggered backwards, Gigan blasted at mutated pteranodon’s face with his eye laser. Gigan was going to finish Fire Rodan off when suddenly a rocket exploded in the ground between the two kaiju. Gigan looked up to see what had fired at him and saw the Super X4, a new weapon for Japan’s defenses containing all of the weapons the previous models had and more on a tougher, sleeker and faster body. It was designed to not recognize between kaiju, but to just deter any gigantic beast from devastating the city. As it fired more rockets, and then its freeze beam, Fire Rodan flew away with one thought in its mind, revenge when it had regenerated. Seeing that its opponent had flown away, and its swipes were too clumsy to hit the Super X4 which was now zigzagging around in mid-air, Gigan flew in the opposite direction, to find Grand King Ghidorah so that their reign of devastation could continue as it once had.

Friday 8th November 2002, 18:14

On Ogasawara Island, Fire Rodan landed and unleashed its call. There was a reply roar as Godzilla emerged from around a mountain. They both could remember when Fire Rodan had given his life to help defeat Destroyah, so there was no chance of a confrontation between these two. But they could tell that there was going to be a major battle and once again they would have to work together. Not yet, but very soon.

After feeding, Aqualla had hid underwater… and grown. He was now just slightly shorter than Godzilla, and his body had changed a little once again. He was now a deeper blue than he had been before, his plumage had grown, his claws were sharper and along his arms he had a line of stiff, thin, razor sharp feathers. But, he still had the need for revenge in his mind. One of his memories that had gradually come back in the last week was his nest, with three eggs in. He could remember what the person he blamed for this looked like, and now just had to find him. As he rose out of the ocean, he raised his arms and spun. As he did this, a spiral of water followed each hand and then, as a flash of blue flickered down Aqualla’s arms, the two plumes of water froze. Aqualla’s power had developed and he was ready to take on whatever stood in his way.

Wednesday 13th November 2002, 15:30

Professor Barker stood watching the monitors that were following his creation. So far Chamelea had not shown any aggressive tendencies towards humans, but by definition it had previously been a wild animal, and therefore only passive, not amicable towards humans. It was possible that Chamelea could turn, and therefore it had been necessary to take precautions against this. In his hand, Professor Barker held the trigger to an electric pulse beacon that was now attached to Chamelea’s brain. Any disobedient behavior and Chamelea would receive a surge of electric current, enough to temporarily stun it.

Thursday 14th November 2002, 03:12

Godzilla and Fire Rodan were starting to leave the island. They had fully regenerated and were prepared for battle. They knew there was going to be one, and they knew it was time. As they swam and flew towards Tokyo an airplane flew overhead. Inside, the pilot knew that confirming the information that Godzilla and Fire Rodan were on the move was probably a suicide mission. How many pilots that had gotten near these kaiju had ever lived to tell the tale? As Godzilla peered into the sky at the fighter, his spinal fins flickered with energy, and then faded again. Whatever was happening, Godzilla was in too much of a rush to even destroy a simple plane. When the pilot realized this, he knew that whatever happening was going to be huge, and part of him wished that Godzilla had blown him up.

Thursday 14th November 2002, 09:47

Sirens were once again blaring all through Japan. Godzilla was now near Tokyo, with Fire Rodan flying just above him. On the other side of Japan, Professor Barker had been told, and decided he wanted to be a spectator to Chamelea’s first trial not under controlled conditions. Also, he needed to be near for the neural electric pulse to work. Elsewhere, Grand King Ghidorah and Gigan took flight, screeching and destroying any trees and buildings in their path. What these two space kaiju did not realize was that as they were firing their energy beams over a lake and their attacks had hit Aqualla. Aqualla had been resting at the bottom of the lake after searching for Professor Barker, and now had two new enemies to destroy. He had never asked for any of this, but he was sure that he was going to be the one to end it.

Thursday 14th November 2002, 10:03

Godzilla and Fire Rodan reached an area just outside of Japan that had become a clearing over a mile wide due to years of kaiju battles. As they scanned the area, they noticed a ripple against some trees in the near distance. Not knowing what it was, Godzilla started to move towards it in order to investigate when suddenly there was a high pitched whining sound. As both kaiju turned around, Gigan came in to view, followed closely by Grand King Ghidorah. Godzilla and Fire Rodan prepared to fire their attacks when suddenly Gigan was blasted out of the air by a bolt of ice. Grand King Ghidorah started to turn in mid-air when he was fiercely tackled by Aqualla, his thirst for revenge growing ever more by the minute. Aqualla glared at Godzilla and Fire Rodan, unsure whether or not to attack them, when Fire Rodan took off, flew over to above Gigan and gave him a blast of the uranium heat beam, reassuring Aqualla as to their siding. As Aqualla and Fire Rodan flew next to Godzilla, the landscape rippled once more behind them and a tree was silently uprooted. The tree then was thrown through the air like a spear and as it smashed into Godzilla’s back, the ripples rushed to one side away from the sight of the other five kaiju. Gigan and Grand King Ghidorah had got back on their feet and used this distraction to attack. Grand King Ghidorah flapped his wings, creating force 9 gales that blew the others off of their feet, while Gigan used his eye laser, scorching Godzilla, Fire Rodan and Aqualla repeatedly.

Professor Barker looked using binoculars on from a wooded hill. This was perfect, not only had Chamelea not been properly spotted, but also Godzilla and the other two kaiju had enough on their hands with the space kaiju alone. But he worried about Aqualla, here was a kaiju he had not seen or heard about before. He had no idea what its powers where, but he knew everywhere he had gone recently, the air had had the same chill that it had now that Aqualla was nearby. He sat down, with his camcorder recording every unsettling moment.
Fire Rodan and Aqualla flew towards the two space kaiju, ready for battle. Fire Rodan had a score to settle and dove straight towards Gigan. The dive was at such a speed that Gigan had no chance of escape and was carried backwards by Fire Rodan, its beak buried in Gigan’s shoulder. Meanwhile, Aqualla started to take Grand King Ghidorah on. Aqualla could tell that more than just pure brawn would be needed to win this battle. As he landed in front of Grand King Ghidorah, he half-flipped, half flew to another spot near Grand King Ghidorah, and kept repeating this, both avoiding the energy beams and disorientating the gigantic space kaiju. All of a sudden, as Aqualla jumped, he grabbed two of Grand King Ghidorah’s heads in his feet and dragged him to the ground.
Godzilla knew that trees did not just throw themselves through the air, so he started en route for the trees. As he neared them, he saw a ripple coming in his direction. When the ripple was almost upon him, he turned around swiftly; whipping whatever was there with his thick tail. Chamelea went flying through the air, and as she landed, she rippled into visibility. There was no point on wasting her energy to be invisible now that Godzilla knew how to find her, especially as she was only truly invisible when standing still, and there was no way she was going to be an easy target. Godzilla fired his breath at Chamelea, but she was too quick and jumped out of the way. She spat a ball of mucus at Godzilla’s feet, and managed to stick one of them to the ground. It acted like elastic, keeping Godzilla where he was. Chamelea wrapped her tongue around Godzilla’s head, and jolted her own head, smashing Godzilla’s into the ground.

Gigan was hitting Fire Rodan with his claws, but Fire Rodan refused to remove his beak. Fire Rodan was about to fire the uranium beam when Gigan realised he would have to act quickly and fired his eye laser first. At point blank range, this blew Fire Rodan backwards. Fire Rodan’s shoulders flickered with flames, when suddenly the flames were absorbed. Fire simply rejuvenated the kaiju. Fire Rodan got up and started circling Gigan, knowing that Gigan would also circle. Once Gigan was in line with a mountain, Fire Rodan used its wings to blow Gigan backwards, and fired his uranium beam at the same time. The combination blew Gigan with such a force that he could not fly out of the way and collided with the mountain. As rubble and snow fell down on top of Gigan, Fire Rodan flew over to check if he was dead. As he flew over the pile, a bloodied Gigan jumped out and tackled Fire Rodan in mid-air, attacking with his claws at the same time. Fire Rodan collapsed to the ground, wondering just what it would take to defeat the space kaiju.
Aqualla had two of Grand King Ghidorah’s heads under his feet, and was battering the other when he suddenly realised that this had been too easy so far, it was then that he understood none of the heads were truly incapacitated, just playing dead. All three heads blasted at Aqualla from underneath, throwing the inexperienced kaiju through the air. Grand King Ghidorah then flew over to where Aqualla had fallen and landed on top of him, stamping on his torso.
As Professor Barker watched from his hilltop, he loved every minute of what he saw. Godzilla and his allies were being defeated. He had already contacted his bosses to tell them that there would be no need for the Super X4 and to arrange that once Chamelea, Gigan and Grand King Ghidorah had won, as much of Asia’s army as could get there would attack the two space kaiju, with Chamelea’s help. Chamelea would be the only significant kaiju left in Professor Barker’s eyes, and it was he that held the control to Chamelea in his hand.
Godzilla heard Fire Rodan’s call, a call that signified he was close to dying, and this filled Godzilla with rage. He blasted at Chamelea, causing the gigantic reptile to back off slightly, and seized this moment of opportunity. He pulled his foot up, exposing the resilient and blasted this too. The intense heat caused the mucus to burn and melt, freeing Godzilla. Godzilla turned and fired his breath directly into Chamelea’s face, and used this opening to rush to his friend’s side.
Fire Rodan was getting blasted and cut by all of Gigan’s weapons. Gigan stabbed each wing with a claw and started to slice into Fire Rodan’s body with his chest saw when Godzilla came rampaging through and knocked Gigan backwards into the mountain again. He looked down and saw the life in Fire Rodan’s eyes fading away, it was time to repay a favor. Godzilla suddenly discharged his breath on Fire Rodan, igniting Fire Rodan instantly. All of the fire got sucked back into Fire Rodan’s body, and Godzilla just kept on setting him back on fire. All of a sudden, Fire Rodan’s body shone a bright white and when the light died away, it was obvious that he was more than just energized, he was better than ever. He was 6 meters taller, with much larger wings and a longer and sharper beak. He was now sleeker, stronger and faster. He was in his adult form for the first time.

Aqualla was going to lose consciousness when he saw the sun glint off of something on a nearby hill. He did not know that the metallic glint was Chamelea‘s control, but he did know it was in the hand of the very person that he had been searching for. His lust for revenge re-ignited, Aqualla whipped his head around. Doing this caused his plumage to severe one of Grand King Ghidorah’s tails completely, while injuring his legs. Aqualla looked up and blasted Grand King Ghidorah with a beam of icy energy. As Grand King Ghidorah fell over, Chamelea came rushing over to help her ally. Aqualla saw this too late and was shunted through the air. Chamelea came charging at Aqualla once more, but this time Aqualla took flight, and suddenly a sphere of water came out of Aqualla’s mouth in the direction of the hilltop.
Professor Barker saw this coming, but the water sphere was too large to escape, and such was the force that Professor Barker was crushed against a tree, the control he held in his hand sparked and was destroyed. As the control sparked, jolts of electricity were sent through Chamelea’s brain, sending the mutated reptile into convulsions.
As Aqualla landed he saw Chamelea shuddering, but the spasms seemed to be wearing off, so Aqualla knew this was his chance to win this battle. Aqualla jumped and was about to collide with Chamelea, when at the last second he stuck his arms out and started spinning. The lines of razor-sharp feathers on each arm of Aqualla slashed Chamelea repeatedly, leaving deep cuts all over her body. Chamelea’s natural instinct of fight or die came back. Chamelea backed off quickly and fired a ball of mucus straight at Aqualla’s face. However, Aqualla had guessed this would be Chamelea’s next move and fired a bolt of ice, freezing the mucus ball mid-flight. Aqualla then raised his arm, and the ball of frozen mucus shattered. This panicked Chamelea, who shot her tongue out, wrapping it around Aqualla’s arms. As Chamelea wrenched her head back, Aqualla’s eye gleamed and then, while in mid-air, he used the lines of feathers on her arms to sever Chamelea’s tongue in two. Chamelea roared a high-pitched scream. She was about to fire another mucus ball in a last ditch attempt to save herself when one of Aqualla’s ice spheres was shot straight inside her mouth, freezing the ball of mucus in her throat. As Chamelea choked, Aqualla landed next to her and swung around, slashing her face with his foot talons. Aqualla grabbed Chamelea’s torso and held her up in the air. He then raised his head and swung it down, slicing into Chamelea’s face and cranium with his head plumage, while digging his beak into Chamelea’s chest. As Chamelea started to sag, Aqualla ripped her guts out; making sure that the kaiju was dead. Aqualla towered over his kill when Grand King Ghidorah blasted him from behind, the slashes in the space kaiju’s legs now healed over.

Meanwhile, Fire Rodan flew over to where Gigan had fallen and started kicking the kaiju while hitting it with his wings. Gigan flew off, but was no longer fast enough to escape Fire Rodan. As Fire Rodan was about to catch up with Gigan, he flew up and then while above Gigan, flew down, knocking Gigan out of the air with such force that a crater formed around the fallen kaiju. Gigan rolled over so that he could see what his best chance of attack was when Fire Rodan landed on him and pecked at his eye laser, breaking the laser and shredding the circuitry. Fire Rodan then flew up and while above Gigan, fired his uranium beam, which was now larger, hotter and much more powerful than before. Gigan’s metal claws and saw started melting, and all the circuitry that was left blew. Gigan gathered all of his strength and rose, but it was too late. Fire Rodan looped in the air, and as he flew towards Gigan at a speed faster than any kaiju has ever reached, his body glowed a bright red and the ground was streaked with fire. Fire Rodan smashed into Gigan, carrying him for several hundred meters, and rose back into air as Gigan dropped to the ground. As Gigan’s body hit the ground, breaking every bone and what little was left of his circuitry and mechanics, he let out a loud, metallic whining. He was calling out to Grand King Ghidorah, but it was too late and Gigan died.
Grand King Ghidorah was firing his energy beams at Aqualla when he heard Gigan’s roar. As he turned around to see what was happening, he saw Gigan die, and Fire Rodan flying back. Grand King Ghidorah started flapping his wings to try to force Fire Rodan out of the air when he was blasted from behind by Godzilla’s breath. All three of the earth kaiju fired their beams, but Grand King Ghidorah simply wrapped his wings around his body to protect himself. Knowing it would be a fatal mistake to stay in one spot, Grand King Ghidorah took flight, but before he could get far Aqualla took after him and fired his ice beam at Grand King Ghidorah’s wings, freezing them solid so that they could not be moved. As Grand King Ghidorah hit the ground parts of his wings shattered, leaving gaping holes in that made it so that his wings were now useless for flying, and negating most of their defensive capability. There was now no escape for him. Grand King Ghidorah fired his energy beams at the ground around him, trying to blind the three kaiju with dust and rubble. Aqualla and Fire Rodan flew next to Godzilla, and as they landed, they fired their energy beam at the gigantic space kaiju. However, this was not enough to destroy Grand King Ghidorah, whose body had stood up to many years of punishment from earth kaiju. Grand King Ghidorah fired his beams at the grouped kaiju, blowing them backwards. Godzilla’s spinal fins glowed a bright red, and he discharged his spiral super-energy beam. At the same time, Fire Rodan fired his uranium beam and Aqualla let loose his ice beam. As all three beams merged, an energy, the power of which had never been seen before, smashed into Grand King Ghidorah’s body, obliterating the space kaiju as his body was blown up in a flash of blinding light.

Saturday 16th November 2002, 02:37

Godzilla, Fire Rodan and Aqualla had made their way back to Ogasawara Island; content in the fact they were safe. The Japanese had decided not to bring in the army to attack the kaiju, as they had not shown any sign of wanting to destroy Japan. Where the battle had taken place, it was now quiet. In the dead of night, a woman pulled herself out of the crater that had been created when Grand King Ghidorah was slaughtered. In her hand she held a bottle that contained some of Grand King Ghidorah’s blood, and a bag with a couple of his charred scales. In her rucksack, there were many more bags and bottles. After all, each of the kaiju had been injured at some point in the battle. As she made her way home, making sure that there were none of the Japanese authorities nearby, she looked in her purse at a picture of Professor Barker, her dead father…

The End?
