Gillas had stayed peacefully on his island after the fight with Tectora. He still didn't sense the new Tectora and he just lay down and did his favorite thing: sunbathing. Gillas had become very friendly to the humans on the island and wouldn't mind if they came and observed him. Dr. Ridley kept her studies on Gillas going. While he may be a mutated dinosaur, he was still a live one. Sometimes they would come and look at his scales or his sail. He never minded.
Off the shores of Hokkaido, the nuclear submarine Beluga continued its patrol after finding a large object on its sonar. The crew didn't know what they were looking for, just something. Then the sonar detected it again and it was coming straight for them. According to the sonar it was long and huge, larger then the submarine. When the image was put on screen, the crew almost had a stroke. What they saw was a giant crocodile but it had a body like a theropod. The huge monster from the deep closed its jaw around the submarine. They only got the images to headquarters just before the giant crocodile began to electrocute the submarine. The crewed screamed as a million volts of electricity went through them until finally the submarine exploded.
Back in Tokyo, the images coming from the Beluga were received at headquarters. The giant monster before them truly struck fear into their hearts. Commander Yusagi immediately called in Dr. Ridley for her expertise.
On Gillas Island, Catherine quickly began to pack her bags after she got the call. There was a knock on her door and her assistant Jeff came in. "You wanted to see me, doctor?" he asked. Catherine looked up and said "Yes Jeff." She continued to pack as she said "while I'm gone, you're to lead the research on Gillas."
Jeff stammered "thank you Doctor, but we all know it's not just you that likes Gillas the most, but Gillas likes you the most."
Catherine walked over with her suitcase, put a hand on Jeff's shoulder and said "I know being a leader is tough, but I trust in you, and that's all you need." She then walked out the door to the helicopter waiting for her.
Catherine's helicopter reached Tokyo by the end of the day and was greeted by Commander Yusagi. He smiled and said "welcome to Tokyo and thank you for coming in these grave times." He showed her in and the two entered the board office. There were military commanders and scientists in the room. The two took they're seats and Yusagi started of the meeting by saying "thank you all for coming." “At 0800 hours we were sent a distress call by the nuclear submarine Beluga. Before it was destroyed we were sent this image." He clicked a remote and a picture showed a giant crocodilian theropod. One scientist stood up and said "I can easily identify this as a Sarchosuchus of the-" However just as he began his sentence Catherine said "are you joking?" She continued saying "this thing couldn't be a Sarchosuchus. Its body has many features of a crocodile but its gait and shape are that of a theropod like Tyrannosaurus. Your not looking at a Super Croc, I can already tell you it's a Suchodon, an amphibious family member of the charcharodontosaurids."
General Yusagi asked "well what is a dinosaur doing in the 21st century?"
Catherine answered "as I said, Suchodon was an amphibious carnivore." "There a two subspecies: there's a freshwater that was about the size of Spinosaurus, and a saltwater species that matched whales in size and battled in the seas with Liopleurodon. What happened was during the great extinction, it hid in an underwater cavern and survived. However the recent earthquakes by Tectora reawakened it. Now it's hungry after years of hibernation." The session quickly ended after Dr. Ridley's speech.
Catherine was getting her things ready to head back to Gillas Island. As she packed she realized, that now that she thought about it, that Gillas Island had become her home. Then she got a call on her cell. It was Yusagi who said urgently "Catherine, we've got a report saying Suchodon is heading for Gillas Island." Catherine immediately hung up and ran to the helicopter pad. She hopped in the chopper and quickly took of. If she was lucky she could reach the island.
Jim was doing research on Gillas' sail, learning about how it absorbed the UV rays of the sun, when suddenly Gillas roared. But this roar was not at the researchers. He sensed something of the shore of his island. The researchers scurried as Gillas got up and began to walk to the coast. Then he heard another roar, but it wasn't Gillas'. His cell phone began to ring. He answered and heard Catherine's voice saying "Jim, a new monster is after Gillas, you gotta go!"
All Jim could say was "it's to late Catherine. It's here."
Gillas strode down the valley, enraged that his territory had been trespassed by another monster. He passed through the coastal valley and laid his eyes on Suchodon. The crocodilian theropod roared another challenged at Gillas, only to get a blast of Solar Flame to the chest, toppling him. Gillas roared, believing he was victorious. Yet Suchodon got up and looked like he got a punch to the chest. Gillas looked at him in confusion.
Jim and the research team were on the off-road trail in there jeeps, following Gillas. Jim was responsible for looking after Gillas, and he wouldn't fail Catherine.
The scientist he was driving with said "sir, we're in huge risk when these two fight-" However Jim silenced him and said "remember, when you work on the field, there's danger." he then said "it's just when you work on Gillas' field, there's more danger."
Suchodon took Gillas' moment of surprise and brought his head up quickly, whacking Gillas in the jaw and sending him stumbling backwards. Gillas roared in frustration and began flailing on Suchodon's jaw. Suchodon countered by biting onto one of Gillas' hands and began shocking him with hundreds of thousands of volts of electricity. Gillas roared in pain but still flailed on Suchodon's head. But like a pit bull, Suchodon wouldn't relinquish his hold on Gillas. Finally Gillas unleashed his Solar Flame straight to Suchodon's head. Suchodon let go but made contact with Gillas, pushing them both into the mountain.
Jim and the research team finally came upon the two fighting monsters. The two raging behemoths crashed and slammed into the mountain, causing an avalanche. The jeeps went as fast as they could go and just cleared it. Jim looked back and said "you know what this reminds me of? When White Fang fights the bulldog." The other researcher looked at him strangely but Jim continued "This super croc fights like the bulldog. He bites and takes a good hold and shocks Gillas. Gillas has never fought a foe like this and unlike White Fang; we can't break the fight up."
Gillas grappled and squirmed, trying to fight Suchodon when they were on the mountainside. Suchodon finally got its legs under Gillas and gave a great kick, sending Gillas flying back. Gillas tried to get up but Suchodon was immediately on top of him, stomping his body hard. Gillas tried to move away but Suchodon wouldn't let him. Finally when Suchodon had one leg raised Gillas lashed out with his tail and tripped him. The two kaiju got up, but Suchodon was just a bit faster. As Gillas was straightening his back Suchodon bit down onto Gillas' head. It was not only the voltage but the pressure of the bite that was getting to Gillas. Gillas saw light flicker in his eyes and then all went dark.....
Jim saw Gillas drop to the ground. Suchodon roared his victory and then headed for the coast and went back into the ocean's watery depths. Suddenly the sound of a helicopter could be heard. The chopper touched down in front of the jeeps and Catherine jumped out. She raced over and said "I saw Suchodon leaving.' She looked at the dropped dinosaur, turned to Jim and said "Jim, what happened?"
Jim said "we were looking at Gillas' sail when he got up and roared." He paused for a second then said "then we heard a roar coming from the coast and Gillas was off. He went down the valley and then the two fought." Catherine hopped into a jeep and quickly went over to check Gillas. From what she could tell, he was alive. Catherine then pitched a tent and waited the night.
The next morning Catherine awoke to a warm breeze. But when she looked it wasn't a warm breeze. Gillas' snout was against the tent and his nose was inflating the tent. She walked up to his snout and petted it before going out the other end. When she got out Gillas got up and started walking down the valley. He then exited and slipped into the Pacific.
Catherine quickly got changed and grabbed her cup of coffee. She zoomed out her tent and was about to hop into the chopper when Jim came up and said "Catherine, where's Gillas going?"
She looked at Jim and said "to fight Suchodon." She then turned the chopper and took off.
Sapporo, a port city and the largest city on the island of Hokkaido. Ship went in and out daily and it thrived well. The fishing boat Carp was heading out to begin reeling in catches. Suddenly the ocean began to bulge and suddenly a giant crocodile head bit down and destroyed the boat. He swished his tail, creating a tidal wave washing the shores and sinking the smaller boats. The civilians ran, trying to get away from the leviathan. Suchodon was now on shore and was demolishing the city.
Catherine was flying in her chopper when on the radio she heard Commander Yusagi saying “Catherine, are you there?”
She quickly grabbed the radio and said “is it about Suchodon?”
Yusagi replied “Suchodon is now attacking Sapporo.” “We are sending all nearby units to bombard Suchodon.”
Catherine shot back “but sir, they’ll never breach his scales.”
Yusagi said “Catherine, we gotta lure him away from the civilians.”
Suchodon moved further into the city, destroying all that stood in his path. He bit down on some power lines and began to absorb all the voltage, boosting his strength and shorting all the power in the area. Suddenly his back was bombarded by fire from a tank squad. He turned around and roared, only to be shot in the face. This didn’t even hurt, but he was now annoyed. The tanks began to roll away, but Suchodon unleashed a lightning beam from his mouth, destroying the tanks. The F-15s swooped and fired there rockets on Suchodon. Suchodon tried to use the lightning but the F-15s swooped and dodged. Finally he hit one but there were still two. Then there was another sound: the sound of a chopper.
Catherine watched as the F-15s distracted Suchodon. She knew that it would only last for so long. Suddenly Suchodon took a huge leap and caught the tail of her chopper in its mouth. Catherine immediately unbuckled and jumped out. She pulled the string and her parachute popped out. But Suchodon then gained interest in the parachuter and just as Catherine landed Suchodon opened his mouth. The F-15s came in and fired there missiles but Suchodon let loose his electric beam and fried them. He then looked down on Catherine and began to open his mouth. But he never bit down. There was a blinding flash and Suchodon backpedaled with his scalp burned.
Then a roar split the air. The roar was thick with anger and warning. Catherine immediately tuned her head. Emerging from the harbor was Gillas. Catherine immediately slid down the side ladder and ran just a Suchodon crashed through the building. The two leviathans approached each other with hatred in there eyes. Suchodon pounced but was knocked back to the earth from a tail swipe by Gillas. Gillas fired a blast of Solar Flame hitting Suchodon’s shoulder. Suchodon roared in pain and retaliated by firing a bolt of lightning hitting Gillas in the chest. Gillas roared in pain as Suchodon got up. The two snarled and then collided. The ground shook as the two monsters grappled and wrestled. They slammed they’re bulky bodies against each other. Suchodon pounced, toppling Gillas and landing on top of his foe. He bit down on Gillas’ throat and began to shock and choke him. Gillas was losing consciousness fast but wouldn’t give up. He fired his Solar Ray and hit Suchodon n his left eye. Suchodon roared in anger and pain as his left eye was now blind. Gillas got up and backed away as Suchodon finally stopped roaring. Gillas let loose his Solar Flame as Suchodon let loose his electric current. The beams collided and a beam war ensued. Both kaiju let loose all there force. The energy was starting to get pushed back to Gillas but then it started going to Suchodon. It kept going and going until it hit Suchodon’s mouth, where it exploded. The back of Suchodon’s head was blown open and the kaiju fell dead. Gillas roared in victory.
The military was about to open fire but then the heard “Stop!” They held they’re fire as Catherine came running. She said “Gillas will return to his island.” And sure enough he slipped into the harbor.
