Catherine sat at her office in Tokyo. After Gillas fought of Komodogater, she had been offered to be the head of the Monster Defense Squad (MDS), a subcategory of the government, made of a group of scientists, there job was to help the military stop giant monsters and to research more into the enigma of these creatures. Catherine, having dealt with quite a few, was the most qualified. She had not heard the sound of urban streets for a while.
The phone rang. As she picked it up she said “Catherine Ridley, head of MDS speaking.”
“Catherine, this is Oda” said the general.
Catherine said “how can I help you?”
He replied “We are having a meeting discussing a new weapon that a robotics company called Yusake Corporation says will save Japan. We would like you to be there, if you’re available.”
“Of course I’m available” Ridley said.
“The meeting”, said Oda, “will be at 4:00. See you there.”
Catherine now sat in a chair and waited. She was always some one who arrived early. Around her were government and military officials. The room was full of chat about the alleged weapon.
The door opened and in came a Japanese man. He had shades, slicked-back hair and a white suit. He said “thank you all for coming. I am Ryujo Yusake, president of Yusake Corporation.” He began to pace and continued “we humans have always had troubles with giant monsters. They constantly attack our cities and destroy are homes. They destroy economies, tramples millions upon millions of good dollars. The military tries to stop them, but don’t, none if it being there fault. That is why I come before you today, ladies and gentlemen.” Yusake opened his suitcase and took out blueprints. He rolled them on the table so everyone saw them.
On them were the blueprints of a giant robot. It looked like a samurai with math equations and notes surrounding it. “This”, said Ryujo “is Arcadias, the first of its line. Arcadias is a new generation of weapon. With the state of the art laser technology developed in Europe, new Lunarium alloy recently found on the moon, and some good old missiles to go with it. This titan will be able to save Japan, and one day the world, from the threat that the giant monsters pose.”
Many clapped as Yusake began to put away the blueprints. He put up his hand, silencing everyone, and said “but to be able to make this possibility true, we need the support of the government, for we cannot pay for all of it. But I swear that if you invest in Arcadias, then you invest in saving Japan.”
Ryujo left and the whole table began to buzz. General Oda put up his hand up and said “what are your opinions on Ryujo’s proposition?’”
One man stood up and said “I believe that this could solve our problem with defending Japan against attack from giant monsters.”
Catherine piped up “but how do we know it will stay a weapon of defense?”
General Oda said “because, Catherine, Arcadias will be under your direct control. You will make sure it is used only for self defense.”
Catherine was still a little worried but said “as long as they’re under those conditions, I’ll go along with it.”
A year later. Jim was working on examining Gillas’ m-gene. They had unlocked the secret, yet Jim had remained convinced that there was something else behind it. There must be more secrets. He was examining the same tissue in which they had made the original discovery. Suddenly there was the sound of a helicopter. It was odd since nobody was expected. Jim immediately left his desk and work to investigate. The helicopter was an army chopper. Jim could see that they were armed. He immediately began to run inside, to sound the alarm, but then his right leg went as it was shot. He tried to crawl, but before he could even reach the door, he felt incredible pain as he was kicked in the head, and then all was black.
Jim awoke in a storage room. He looked and saw that he was tied along with the rest of his colleges. His head still hurt, wishing for an Advil right about now. Then the door opened and a man walked in. His steel-toed boots and uniform made him look imposing. He had a moustache on his lip and dark eyes. He did not know who he was, but he could tell they were not in any good company. The man barked “who is in charge here?!” Jim replied weakly. He got a look of disgust and the man said “you are the biggest scum.”
Jim raised his voice and said “and who are you to be calling us scum?” He had expected to get kicked or shot, but did not get either. Just the stare.
The man said “we are the Plain Warriors.” Jim immediately knew who they were. The Plain Warriors were the remnants of the force that fought Gillas at Sidney. He continued “we have always hated Gillas. And now, we will wipe it off the face of the earth.”
Jim said “why should you kill Gillas when he has lived in peace with us?”
The man retorted “if Gillas is such a peaceful monster, then why did he destroy Sidney?” He began to yell “we, mankind, were scared that he would destroy us, yet we have the power. But no, instead we give it an island and let it rule us in fear. But we will stop it. We will save the world, and we will be heroes!” Then the man’s radio turned on and he said “now I must go and do my job” and he left.
Gillas was snoozing nicely, basking in the warm sun. Suddenly a familiar sound entered his ears. Then his side began to hurt as rocket launchers bombarded his side. He looked around and saw all the humans attacking him. At first it was confusion. Why were they attacking him? He was at peace. Then anger began to burn inside him like a fire in a furnace. Gillas fired his Solar Flame at the humans, killing many. Still they bombarded him. Let them try. They would burn.
Jim heard them open fire on Gillas. He heard Gillas roar. He heard it all. A feeling of dread was now put in his stomach. He tried but his restraints would not move. He heard the rest of the researchers panicking, but he put there voices out of his mind. He had to break free. Then the building began to crumble and once again, all went black.
Catherine had got the emergency call meaning that the base on Gillas Island had been attacked. Just before it had been destroyed she had been sent a recording, showing Gillas destroying the building. They were now on high alert. Gillas was now heading for Japan. For what reason she knew not. But she had to defend Japan, no matter what the cost. She gave the order and the doors of Mt. Miashi opened. And out flew Arcadias. He looked like a giant samurai. On hi shoulders were rocket launchers and rocket packs. New Light Zero cannons adorned his wrists. He landed and began to travel by his Hover Rocket boots, making him look like he was roller skating. Wherever Gillas surfaced, they would be ready.
Yokohama was a bustling city, not far from Tokyo. When Gillas fought Tectora at Tokyo, many swarmed to Yokohama to watch. Suddenly the water began to bubble and Gillas’ head emerged. He fired his Solar Ray, destroying the wharves. He roared and reached land, advancing like a dark behemoth. People ran as he advanced, destroying all buildings and people he could see. The rage inside him would keep burning. Burning until they were all dead. There was a child that tripped. The pitiful thing Gillas was about to squish her with his foot when he was hit in the head by a missile. He roared and turned his head to his attacker. Arcadias stood at the end of the street. It began to fire its missiles at Gillas, raining explosions. Arcadias then fired his Light Zero lasers and Eye Lasers, all its artillery. Gillas roared as it was bombarded by Arcadias but fired a blast of Solar Flame, hitting Arcadias square in the chest. Arcadias fell backwards but was quickly up. Gillas advanced and nailed Arcadias with his tail, sending him into a building. Arcadias was quickly got up and upper-cutted Gillas in the jaw, sending Gillas stumbling backwards. Arcadias fired his hover rockets and slammed into Gillas, sending the dinosaur sliding down the street. Gillas was getting up when Arcadias came at him again. But Gillas was ready and tripped him with his tail, sending Arcadias crashing through a couple warehouses. Gillas grabbed him by a leg but was blasted by one of the rocket boosters in the face.
The two looked at each other with hate. Arcadias charged and Gillas did to. There two masses collided and they clawed and punched as they brawled. Gillas was thrown back and Arcadias did a spin kick to the chest. Then Arcadias’ chest opened and fired the Cyclone Laser Cannon, throwing Gillas across the city with a point blank shot. Gillas crashed into the ocean but quickly resurfaced. But Gillas charged and once again Arcadias opened his chest. But Gillas ripped open his chest and the energy leaked into Gillas, his sail turning red. Gillas fired a stream of Corona Flame, destroying the street. Arcadias initiated his rocket boosters and began to do a full artillery assault. All it had left if fired at Gillas. Gillas roared and fired his Corona Flame into its chest. Arcadias blew up from the inside. Now nothing stood against Gillas.
