Godzilla vs. Godzilla: A Sequel to GMK
By: Willie Cope
Introduction
This is a sequel to Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monster All Out Attack, aka GMK. A few of the monster in this have varied descriptions. Yamatozilla looks like the Godzilla from Godzilla vs. Megaguirus with a few minor changes. Anguirus and Varan look like the maquetes that Shusuke Kaneko made (if you haven't seen them, then you'll get the general idea from their descriptions). Manda looks the way he looked in Atragon and Bagan has a new design (use your imagination). Godzilla, King Ghidorah, Mothra, and Baragon look like they did in GMK. Enjoy!
Chapter One: Possessions
Deep within Tokyo Bay, the heart of a monster continued to beat. It slowly began to regenerate a new body. The souls of the angry dead would not rest until their desire for revenge was quenched.
However, a thousand miles away, three other souls were on a different quest. They had possessed the arm of the monster that had killed them, and from that arm they began to create a new body. Their mission was not vengeance, but to protect those who would dies at the hands of the great demon.
"GODZILLA!" screamed a man as thousands of people ran in terror from the rampaging behemoth. It had been seven months since the destruction of the guardian monsters, and it seemed Godzilla had returned again. The creature had a different look this time. Its scales were green and pointed and its dorsal spikes were jagged with a golden hue. There was a small yellow horn between its eyes. The face of the monster looked less demonic and more like the face of an Asian dragon statue. Its teeth fit perfectly together, with the exception of the three huge fangs on each side of the top jaw. The eyes of the monster differed the most: they had large pupils with purple irises.
To the people running in terror, the monster's appearance made no difference. It was still a gigantic monster, and it was still destroying the town. They ran for their lives as it wandered around, searching for something.
Another monster rose from Tokyo Bay, just as the creature that was now rampaging through Japan had earlier. The second demon looked exactly like the Godzilla that attacked Japan seven months earlier. The two Godzillas glanced at each other. The green one snarled, and quickly began to dash toward his evil looking double.
The battle for Japan was about to start.
Chapter 2: The Battle of Kings
The pupiless Godzilla was caught offguard as his double quickly tore into him, biting and scratching. The vengeful monster's opponent didn't leave him one opportunity to attack. As chunks of gray flesh and black blood spilled onto the ground, the gray Godzilla charged up his atomic ray. He looked at his foe and fired, hitting the green Godzilla's dorsal plates. To his surprise, the ray was absorbed into the spikes. His foe looked up, then re-fired the atomic ray at its owner. The gray Godzilla flew threw the air to the other side of the city.
The green Godzilla roared. The roar suddenly turned into the wail of the deceased Baragon, then into the chirp of Mothra, then King Ghidorah's cackle, and finally back into Godzilla's roar. It was now clear why two Godzillas were in the city instead of one. The green one was possessed by the spirits of the Yamato guardians. Yamatozilla had been born.
Yamatozilla wasted no time in restarting his attack. Just as Godzilla got back to his feet, Yamatozilla viciously charged him. Godzilla had a bit more time to prepare, and consequently the fight was less one-sided. The two monsters fought viciously, scratching and biting. Chunks of flesh flew everywhere. Yamtozilla was still winning, since his body was better designed for hand to hand combat.
Godzilla realized this. Acting quickly, he blasted Yamatozilla with his atomic ray, knocking the monster a few yards away. When Yamatozilla regained his bearings, Godzilla blasted him again. He was able to do this two more times before Yamatozilla caught on. The green Godzilla decided that it was time to release his own powerful flame.
Yamtozilla threw a building at Godzilla. That was the distraction. When Godzilla stood back up, Yamatozilla had his own heat ray ready. He opened his mouth released his fiery ray at Godzilla. It was even stronger than the atomic ray of Godzilla. Godzilla was sent flying backwards, back into the ocean. Yamatozilla followed.
Chapter 3: Bagan vs. Godzilla
Meanwhile, in China, a monster awoke. Bagan, an ancient mythological dragon, had returned after a 65,000,000-year sleep. According to the mythology of the monster, it was made as the protector of nature and all animals, large and small.
Now there was a large animal in a great amount of torture. Bagan could feel its suffering. The great dragon began to fly toward Japan.
Yamatozilla was tossed back onto land like a fish. The possessed dinosaur had put up a good fight and most of the battle had gone in his favor. However, even the strong souls of the guardian monsters could defeat the vengeful souls that dwelled in Godzilla's body. Yamatozilla tearfully thought about how he had failed Japan as Godzilla moved in for the kill.
A new monster flew into the area, roaring as it came. Bagan landed between Godzilla and his wounded prey. Godzilla reared back his head to strike, but stopped. The Chinese souls that had died by the Japanese would not harm their protector. The other souls had no care for Bagan, but the Chinese did. Godzilla could not kill Bagan.
Bagan used this advantage. Godzilla was still regenerating the wounds that Yamatozilla had inflicted on him, so Bagan started from there. The dragon tore at Godzilla's flesh, using tooth, claw, and the various spikes on his body. Bagan would occasionally blast Godzilla with his fire, but fought the monster tooth and claw for most of the battle. Godzilla tried to fight back, but Bagan didn't give him a single opening. The dragon tore off Godzilla's arms, then clawed at the monster's face.
All of the souls saw that they were losing the battle, and their will for revenge was stronger than their love. Godzilla's eyes opened, and the monster snarled. His arms were still regenerating, but the monster could still bite. Godzilla chomped on Bagan's throat, choking the beast.
Yamatozilla struggled to stand up. The green Godzilla blasted his evil counterpart with a fiery atomic ray, knocking Bagan out of Godzilla's jaws. Bagan quickly his transformed his arm into a huge spike and speared Godzilla in the belly. Godzilla screamed then looked directly at Yamatozilla. The vengeful monster growled, releasing a stream of atomic breath at his green counterpart. Yamatozilla yelped in pain as he was fatally wounded by the blast.
Bagan was pissed. The great dragon had come her to save Yamatozilla's life, and Godzilla had just made him fail. The ageless dragon flew up into the air dive-bombed the monster, impaling the monster with hundreds of spikes. His long tail slithered up Godzilla's spine, wrapped around his neck, and squeezed. Bagan roared and charged up his great death ray.
Godzilla smiled. The monster tore off Bagan's tail with his newly regenerated arms and fired, but this time with an atomic ray that was as powerful as four atom bombs. The nuclear breath vaporized Bagan, leaving nothing left but the creature's tail.
Chapter 4: The Guardian Monsters Return
Bagan's soul covered the entire area and then some. It quickly moved into Yamatozilla's lifeless corpse. The dinosaur monster stood up again, revived. He roared a sound that combined Godzilla, King Ghidorah, Mothra, Baragon, and Bagan's. Six bulges appeared on Yamtozilla's skin. One by one they fell off and mutated. The first turned into Baragon. But the little monster didn't stay the same. Soon it began to mutate until he was nearly Godzilla's height. The second bulge turned into Mothra, who soon grew larger than Godzilla and much fluffier with a tail of feathers. The third bulge became King Ghidorah, who grew five more heads and, like the other two, much larger. They had finally become gods.
The other six bulges grew into three other monsters, dragons that had sacrificed their lives for Bagan in the past. The large lizard-like dragon was later identified as Varan, the spikey club-tailed dragon was Anguirus, and the long Asian dragon was Manda. Yamatozilla remained in the center of the monsters, his spikes crackling with energy.
The monsters wasted no time in attacking Godzilla. Anguirus, a mountain dragon, created hundreds of large boulders by simply stamping his feet. Varan and Manda kept Godzilla in one place. King Ghidorah took to the skies, then screeched at Manda and Varan to leave the area. They did so, and Ghidorah fired eight mega gravity beams at Godzilla, each with the force of the strongest lightning bolt. The blast kept Godzilla from moving.
Anguirus, Manda, Baragon, and Varan quickly placed the boulders that Anguirus had made around Godzilla. Yamatozilla melted them with his fiery breath, and Manda cooled it down again with a hailstorm. Mothra blessed the tomb by dropping a feather onto it, making it a sacred prison. Godzilla would never attack the world again.
Epilogue
Godzilla never attacked the world since that day. Mothra ascended into heaven, to live with the other gods. Manda departed to the sea and was never seen again. Varan traveled to the South American Amazon to protect the smaller animals and their homes.
Baragon, Anguirus, and Yamtozilla, they still guard Godzilla's tomb. The monster king is treacherous and crafty, and even he may find a way out of the sacred prison he was trapped in.
As for King Ghidorah...
It is unknown where Orochi King Ghidorah, the ten thousand-year-old dragon, has gone. Some say he departed with Mothra to become a god, but don't believe that. Others say that the dragon resides in the Himalayas in heavy meditation. However, don't believe that either. Remember that dragons are crafty creatures, and have been known to take shapes other that their own. Ghidorah may be anywhere at anytime. It just depends on where you look.
