Death Ghidorah, though not actually King Ghidorah, but only a three-headed kaiju that shares the same name, appeared in the 1996 film “Rebirth of Mothra”. This version of “Ghidorah” was the first ever quadruped version. The new kaiju looks very menacing and has several things in common with the true King Ghidorah. Three heads with snapping jaws on the ends of three snake-like necks (which are segmented), a huge wingspan, and a tail that is a single tail until toward the end, where it splits into two. The skin of the suit is mostly black with white and gray highlights and red wings with horns in them. The four legs of the suit end in vicious-looking clawed feet. The facial features are also obviously different from the real King Ghidorah's. Apparently Death Ghidorah couldn’t walk smoothly due to a flaw in the suit’s construction and according to the suit actor (who it is I don’t know), the flat scales of Death Ghidorah’s throat completely blocked his vision.
