| Born on July 6, 1931, American actor Robert Dunham was living the good life in Japan for several years during most of the countrie's "Golden Age" of cinema. He starred in several films, including many for Toho Studios. These films included Mothra, Dogora the Space Monster, Godzilla vs. Megalon (probably his most famous role), and The Green Slime amoung others. What probably made him so successful as an American actor in Japan, was that Mr. Dunham spoke fluent Japanese and his lines were never dubbed over in Japanese. Other than being an actor, Robert Dunham was also a stunt driver. He put this other profession to work in Godzilla vs. Megalon, being the Seatopian motorcyclist that chased down the Ibuki brother's friend. Robert Dunham passed away on August 6, 2001 at his home in Sarasota, Florida of a massive stroke, he was 70 years old. | |
