Location: Antarctica; a small research camp
Date: June 21, 2015
“Let’s keep moving!”
Like we have the energy, thought an aggravated archaeologist. The team had gone under the ice of the Antarctic to see what the past has left for them.
“What the hell’s that?!” exclaimed one person.
In front of them was an exceptionally large dinosaur frozen in solid ice. By the look of its posture in the ice, it looks as if it were in battle.
“Look!” shouted another. He shone his flashlight on another section.
Before the dinosaur appeared a strange alien-like creature - positioned as if it was in fight with the dinosaur.
Before the frozen beasts was a stone tablet written in ancient Japanese.
The curious leader couldn’t help it. He grabbed the stone and led the group out of the cavern, not knowing that the ice was cracking that held the creatures….
Chapter 1
Location: Pacific Ocean; 30 miles South of Japan; Aboard the Kairu Maru nuclear tanker
Date: June 29, 2015
“Well sir, you’re up quite early.”
“Yes, I just couldn’t sleep,” said the captain, somewhat with an uneasy feeling. “I just have a feeling something bad will happen. The ship is carrying more than a ton of nuclear waste. Just who could feel easy about this?”
“I suppose you have a point. We’re almost there, so let’s hope nothing happens,” said the officer, which was rattled by the captain’s nervousness.
Spooking the crew of the ship was the water in front of them - it looked as if it were boiling!
Then out of the water came a horrific figure!
“Ebirah!” shouted an officer.
Ebirah, the giant lobster, had not been seen since 1966 – until now.
“Hard left!” shouted the captain. The ship turning would be no good. Ebirah would only follow! thought the officer, standing next to the captain.
The lobster shrieked as it drew closer to the giant tanker. It’s over, thought the captain.
Suddenly, Ebirah shrieked in pain as something, like a tail, had come out of the water and swiped the shrieking lobster.
“Sir! What do you think that is?” asked a crewmember. “What ever it was, it saved our skins.”
Chapter 2
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Date: late that night
“Did you hear about the sighting of Ebirah? I mean, the crew of the ship said it was attacked!”
The man was talking to a young Japanese woman about the incident. “No, I didn’t,” she said. Her name was Miki Saegusa. She had worked for the ESP Institute, which was part of G-Force.
“Some people say it was Godzilla,” said the man. “I’m surprised they’d say it’s him!” said the other.
Miki had lots of memories of the Monster King. As the man said this, memories of Godzilla returned to her.
She remembered when he destroyed Space Godzilla, in order to save humanity, or from the monstrous Destroyah, the monster that ruined Godzilla’s reunion with his son, Junior Godzilla.
“Miki!” said the man to get her attention. What do you suppose?
“It’s him,” she said calmly. “I can still feel him.”
Suddenly, a loud explosion was heard outside.
Chapter 3
At an oil refinery, flames rose hundreds of feet in the air. A terrifying bellow came from the blaze. Then, a giant monster walked out of the fire. Miki gasped in horror as the huge monster appeared. It resembled a mythical dinosaur, but Miki knew this was not a creature of the planet Earth.
It had three huge spikes protruding from the head, each slanted back getting smaller farther down the neck. There was a small horn on the end of the monster’s snout. Several spikes came from the bulky, muscular upper arms and thighs. Triangular structures were behind the upper arms and above the thighs (which were smaller), and had rough reddish-brown, skin. It yet again let another below echo through the city.
The sight of this creature horrified Miki. “There’s news from the Tokyo Bay!” shouted a man. “Something’s appeared in it!” Suddenly, Miki’s psychic ability had caught her attention. “He’s here. Godzilla!”
Chapter 4
A familiar, but different roar sounded from the harbor. This Godzilla was different from what Miki imagined. He had huge, spiky dorsal fins that had a purplish shade to them. Out of his upper arms protruded three spikes, as well as on his thighs. His body was more muscular (but thinner) than the Godzilla Miki remembered.
The monster had heard the roar Godzilla had made. Godzilla walked toward the creature, then stopped. The monsters seemed to be studying each other. A few moments later, the new monster bellowed and released a blast of bright-green flame from his mouth at the Monster King. He fell backward, only stunned. He knew, that this monster was indeed a foe.
Godzilla had risen up to his feet again. His fins started to glow a reddish-orange, then releasing a blast of his own fire at the monster. The monster wailed as it was struck, but did not fall. It’s front was badly wounded.
“Strange,” said Miki, “the creature seems wounded, but too easily!”
Godzilla even had a look of confusion. He was shocked to realize the monster had healed instantly!
Chapter 5
Godzilla was furious! He ran towards the creature, but it had its ways of trickery. It knocked Godzilla down, and then turned, swinging its tail at the Monster King. The pincer-like tail tip grabbed Godzilla by the throat, then sliding him into the base of Tokyo Tower. The tower’s pointy tip had started to fall down at Godzilla.
“Look out!” Miki told Godzilla telepathically. Godzilla understood, and at lightning-fast speed ran to safety – and towards the monster. The monster had been knocked down – but not for long!
“Can Godzilla even beat that thing?” said the man in disbelief. “I don’t know,” replied Miki, a little nervous.
The creature bellowed loudly, then releasing a powerful blast of the greenish-white fire at Godzilla. It had taken the King of the Monsters down, and he failed in rising to his feet again. The sun began to rise of on the horizon, with the creature being startled.
The creature bellowed a last time as it took to the sky (going west), by using the four triangular shaped structures on its body to lift itself, then was gone.
Godzilla did get up, but only to be healing with the Regenerator G-1 (discovered by a man by the name of Shinoda in 2000), with his pride hurting the most.
“Hey, Miki! I received a call,” said the man with Miki, “There was a research team that found something that might be a connection with Godzilla and this monster.”
Chapter 6
Location: G-Force laboratory
Date: July 1, 2015
“Well, I think I know what this means,” explained the scientist by the name of Terisawa. This tablet says ‘A monster of destruction appeared and challenged the 3rd world for supremacy of it. The Earth’s guardian defeated the monster “Digharah” with both monsters buried in ice in the aftermath. The monsters will reappear in the year two-thousand and fifteen A.D.’ There’s more, but we can’t get any farther.”
“So, the monster is Digharah,” said Miki, but for some reason, it left when the sun began to rise. How can that be explained?”
Terisawa thought a moment, and then explained that the creature did not like sunlight.
With more study of the creature done, it was confirmed this monster was not from Earth.
Location: Osaka
Date: next night, 5:30
Late that night, everything seemed calm. No sign of either Digharah or Godzilla.
“Where do you think Digharah is headed?” asked Terisawa. “I don’t…oh God…it’s here!” exclaimed Miki, “It’s coming this way!” From the sky came a roar, and descended Digharah!
Landing near the building everyone was at, the giant monster began its attack. Using its telekinesis powers, it lifted buildings and threw them all over. The green flame shot from its mouth, killing hundreds of people and devastating the city.
Tanks and maser guns appeared and began attacking. Digharah began attacking them, but more maser tanks and other artillery arrived. He wiped them out as soon as they arrived.
“Hopefully, the military can keep him distracted long enough,” said one of the men in the building.
All of a sudden, Digharah looked up and saw the sun rising, then used the triangular “fins” to use his telekinetic powers again to destroy buildings, in which dust appeared and blocked out the sky.
“All hope is lost,” said Terisawa.
Chapter 7
Location: rooftop of a building
For a strange reason, Digharah decided to rest in Osaka. Even stranger, the dust had cleared, and Digharah did not get harmed by the light-he wasn’t even phased!
“There are ‘shields’ on its eyes,” said Terisawa, looking at the resting Digharah through binoculars. “This means, Digharah will be able to attack 24-7!”
At that moment, Miki sensed something-Godzilla had awakened from his slumber (to heal his wounds). He wants his revenge now, thought Miki.
The military planned to take out Digharah by destroying him while he slept. It was the missile used thirteen years ago, called a D-3, which drilled into the target, then exploded.
“Ready to fire!” said a voice over the speaker system. “On the count of three…1…2…3…fire!” commanded the general.
The missiles were upgraded to lock on a target and follow it wherever the target went. The D-3s struck, waking Digharah. He wailed as the D-3s drilled into his hide. They exploded, flesh flying everywhere.
Digharah was healing, but before they could fire again, a flash of fire struck down Digharah. Godzilla had arrived!
Chapter 8
Godzilla gave a mighty roar, challenging the space monster. A huge battle ensued between the monsters. Digharah took to the air and swiped Godzilla across the shoulder. Godzilla got back on his feet and waited for his enemy to come. He grabbed Digharah by the leg and brought Digharah down. Digharah was not down for long. He took his claws and slashed Godzilla on the chest. Godzilla whacked Digharah across the face with a swing of his tail.
Digharah blasted the Monster King with his green fire blast. Godzilla was down, but then he rolled into Digharah, tripping him.
Godzilla used his own fire and roasted his enemy. Digharah was angered, and shot a super-blast fireball (green, obviously) and struck Godzilla, who still stood, then groaned and fell over, not moving after that.
Get up! You can’t die! Miki told Godzilla telepathically. You can’t die!
Godzilla was viewing a memory in his mind, of seeing a female Japanese person on an island, while atop a rocky area. Then he remembered a fierce volcanic explosion, then a monster dropping him on a building. He remembered a woman there, crying. He remembered another Godzilla, crying over him as well…
Chapter 9
Godzilla remembered now! This female telepathically communicating with him was the same woman that had a care for him years ago! Godzilla opened his eyes with anger, and noticed Digharah, ready to attack again. Godzilla spun his tail, tripping his enemy. Godzilla rose to his feet, with more power! His skin was darkening, his muscles grew, and he roared with fury!
“Holy cow!” exclaimed Terisawa!
“I knew he’d come through,” said Miki to herself.
Godzilla let out another roar, as well as Digharah rose. Digharah now seemed…afraid!
The real battle began now! Godzilla fired his atomic blast, more powerful than ever, with this time, being a fiery blue now. Digharah ducked down, but not in time. His right shoulder was struck, severely damaged, with blood spurting from the wound, and Digharah was down. It tried to retreat, but Godzilla shot the triangular fin on Digharah’s left side with his fire. The fin was ripped apart, only hanging by shreds of reddish-brown flesh. Godzilla now knew he had the upper hand, but at that moment, Digharah leaped towards the Monster King and bit down on Godzilla’s left arm.
Digharah was healing the wounds he had received from Godzilla’s blast. Thinking quick before Digharah could drain any more energy, he drew back his right hand and slashed Digharah on the right side of his face, taking his snake-like eye.
Half blind now, Digharah wailed in pain. Godzilla was expecting Digharah to do something. Digharah’s right fin (upper) glowed, and formed energy orb in his right hand that he could throw!
Digharah had this one on full blast-and was determined to win. He threw it straight at the King of the Monsters, and Godzilla seemed to expect this to happen! Being aimed at his head, Godzilla blasted it with his fire, but instead of destroying it, it was sent back to the source!
Digharah screamed as it struck him in the bicep, as his arm landed on the ground. “Holy shit!” said a soldier, standing nearby. “That’s got to HURT!”
Godzilla gave one last blow to Digharah with his fire, sending the space-monster into a hillside, where a landslide collapsed, taking Osaka Castle with it, onto Digharah. After that, the only thing heard was the mighty roar of Godzilla.
Chapter 10
“He won!” cried Miki, who was very pleased about Godzilla saving the Earth (again).
Shortly after the rumbling stopped, Godzilla turned toward the building the people were on. “Godzilla’s coming!” shouted Terisawa. Many of the people on the rooftop started to flee, but Miki did not. Terisawa and a few soldiers waited.
Godzilla stopped, looking down at Miki. He groaned a bit, as if he were talking to Miki. Miki, with her telepathic ability, understood what he said. Godzilla, slowly turning around, walked off towards sea.
Terisawa ran to Miki, watching Godzilla lumber off. “What was that all about?” asked Terisawa.
“Godzilla said ‘thank you’ to everyone,” replied Miki. “In the past, we always thought radioactive testing was wrong, but that can soon change,” said Terisawa. “In the past, we’ve tried to rid the planet of Godzilla, but now, I think that will never happen soon. It’s weird how he continues to protect us.”
“That’s because, he’s Godzilla, King of the Monsters,” replied Miki softly.
