When Gyaos returned along with Gamera in 1995’s “Gamera: Guardian of the Universe”, he had to shed his child-appeal image and take on a totally fierce look. Although this design’s features were relatively the same as the one from 1967, they were now much more streamline and meaner looking. The bat-like wings were now larger, featured veins in them, and were capable of folding in on themselves. The legs were longer and more muscular and ended in sharp-looking talons. The tail was the same and the body had sort of a “sucked in gut” look to it. As for the head, it also looked great. The head seemed larger than the original and the neck was larger as well, the eyes were reduced though and were very evil looking. Suit actress Yumi Kaneyama played the main Gyaos in the film.
