Between 1995 and 1999’s “Gamera 3”, the Gyaos evolved very rapidly into a swifter and more terrifying creature. This time just portrayed through CGI, large marionettes, and hand puppets instead of suit actors. The color of the Gyaos had now changed from a dark reddish brown to a darker blue. The wings and legs had changed to a more bird-like appearance and the head had been reduced in size, but still had the old flattop look to it. The tail was longer and no longer was as flat as it used to be, the arm areas of the wings looked more muscular, and the mouth of the suit was larger. The eyes had also changed, they were now smaller and had an eerie yellow color.
