When Godzilla returned to the big screen after a nine-year absence for the film “The Return of Godzilla”, his appearance returned to that of a menacing creature ready to destroy. This 84-Goji had all of the Shodai-Goji/Gyakushu-Goji features that were lost in 1962 reinstated. The small ears were back, as were the four-toed feet, characteristics that would this time persist to the present day. The central dorsal fins were enlarged, and the two lateral rows were made much more prominent. The 84-Goji's tail was lengthened and made much more sinuous. The eyes returned to the style of King-Goji, while the old fangs also made a reappearance. Unfortunately for new Godzilla suit actor Kenpachiro Satsuma, the suit weighed a massive 242 pounds and was not built to fit him, making the suit very hard to work with.
