History
Built by the invading insectoid aliens from Nebula Space Hunter M, the Godzilla Tower was thought to be a feature of World Children’s Land that would house a museum of monsters both new and old. However, it also contained a deadly weapon and the command center for the Nebulans with plans for world domination. The deadly weapon that it contained was a devastating triple laser beam that could be fired from the tower’s mouth. Its main purpose was to finally kill the King of the Monsters, Godzilla, so that the Nebulans would have virtually no opposition in their conquest of Earth. They nearly succeeded in their plan too, downing an already tired and weakened Godzilla after he and Anguirus battled Gigan and King Ghidorah from Tokyo to World Children’s Land and hammering him again and again as King Ghidorah and Gigan looked on, preventing Anguirus from aiding his fallen friend. However, taking advantage of the alien’s dependence on technology, a small group of soldiers snuck into Godzilla Tower, loaded the elevator with explosives, and destroyed the tower before it could kill Godzilla, who then along with Anguirus, was able to force the space kaiju to retreat. The crushing weight of the rubble from Godzilla Tower trapped the aliens, fatally wounding them and causing them to revert to their true forms before they died and all of Godzilla Tower exploded, ending the invasion.
