Kyushu, Japan... A group of teenagers were exploring a cave, which had been attacked way back in 1956, two years after Godzilla's attack. Giant prehistoric insects called Meganuron attacked them. They were about eleven feet long and slaughtered the miners. Then two giant prehistoric pteranodons called Rodan, they were mates. They laid waste to part of Tokyo, but were burned to death in an erupting volcano. The gang found themselves in a large chamber, where the first Rodan hatched from its egg. They tried to find pieces of the shell, but couldn't find any trace; it had all been taken out by all kinds of scientists and paleontologists. They did find what looked like something large buried under dirt, soil, and rock. One of them set down a radio and put in a CD. "Turn it up all the way" one of the girls said. One of the guys did so. They began dancing, smoking, and drinking. Suddenly the caves began to rumble. "Earthquake!" One of the boys hollered. The buried object began to shake violently. The rocks and dirt fell off, revealing an egg, similar to the egg seen back in 1956. It split and cracked then shook more. Suddenly, the head of a huge beast burst through the shell. The gang ran as shell went flying at them. The baby Rodan cackled and began flapping its wings, causing powerful winds which blew them all over the ground, bruising them up badly. He then walked from his egg and waddled over to the scattered teenagers. He bent down and picked them up in his beak and ate them all.
Chapter 2 Godzilla’s Sorrow
2004... Yuki was 29 years old and was still in GDS. Special plans were being made to put a stop to Godzilla once and for all. A secret weapon was in the making; one that they hoped would put a stop to all the destruction. Another weapon that they would try out was the maser tank. A tank that had a special cannon that fired a beam of energy. They were hoping that it would stop Godzilla, but if it didn't, their new secret weapon would. The weapon was brought close to a power plant in Nagoya. The tank was put at the ocean, Godzilla was found heading in that direction. Since it had been five years since Godzilla's last attack, the nuclear power plants were powered up again; one was close to the ocean in Nagoya. Yuki was to drive the maser tank. Godzilla arose from the sea. He needed nuclear energy to refuel himself. Yuki locked onto Godzilla. "Ready to fire?" Yuki asked, the other men nodded, "Fire." Yuki fired the laser directly at Godzilla. It hit him in the chest and partly in the gut. Scales flew everywhere and into the sea. Godzilla roared and moved faster. The maser tank fired again, striking Godzilla's stomach. Godzilla's spines began glowing blue and he fired his atomic blast. It hit right next to the tank and exploded. The tank flipped over on its side. Godzilla made landfall and began heading towards the nuclear reactor. The city was evacuated ahead of time, so no one was in danger. Yuki crawled out of the tank with a few cuts. She was also a bit burned. She followed after Godzilla. Suddenly a huge shadow covered the city. It was Rodan; he flew at high speed. Yuki was running when he flew over, she continued running and went high into the air. She hit a bunch of parked bikes and rolled onto the street. Meanwhile, Godzilla made it to the nuclear power plant when Rodan flew over. He just ignored it and got into the reactor. His spines began to glow bright blue from the high radiation. Rodan flew right above Godzilla from behind. The wind blew Godzilla forward and into the reactor. The whole power plant began exploding. Godzilla cried out and disappeared in the flames. The explosion covered the area around Godzilla and went high into the sky. Rodan landed close by and watched the mushroom cloud move up high. Suddenly, Godzilla busted through the rubble and fire. Godzilla shook it off and roared at the opposing monster. Rodan cackled as he flapped his wings. The winds were as powerful as hurricane winds. Godzilla tried to move forward, but once he moved on foot up, he went backwards, his spines piercing the ground. Once Rodan took off, Godzilla stood up and looked around, not seeing Rodan anywhere. Suddenly, Rodan came from behind and knocked Godzilla forward. Godzilla got up and saw Rodan turning back to attack again. His spines began glowing blue and he fired his blue energy blast. It skimmed Rodan's wings, but did not stop him. Rodan turned and swooped down, knocking Godzilla back down. Rodan landed on Godzilla's side and sunk his talons into Godzilla's spine area. Rodan then took off, carrying Godzilla. Rodan could fly at high speed without flapping his wings, but since Godzilla was so heavy, he had to flap his wings. Godzilla had not planned to fight, he was sick of fighting all these monsters that opposed him. He began using his nuclear energy. His spines began glowing blue. The energy burned Rodan's feet, forcing him to drop Godzilla onto the city of Nagoya. Godzilla got back up, aching all over. Rodan landed on a tall building and hooked his talons into the building to keep his balance. Godzilla stared into Rodan's shark like eyes as Rodan stared into Godzilla's yellow eyes. Godzilla fired his atomic blast at the building that Rodan was on. Rodan cackled and took off. Godzilla continued firing his blast. As Rodan flew over the city, the beam followed, destroying everything it hit. Godzilla had to turn around as he tried to strike Rodan down. Rodan soon moved up and into the sky. Godzilla looked around and noticed that he was surrounded by fire. Yuki got was flown back to GDS; they were finishing their final tests, for their secret weapon, the Continent Destroyer, named after the Oxygen Destroyer. Instead of sucking in oxygen, it destroyed a large mass of land. It was going to be tested on Anglias, who was on an island, about 1000 miles from Tokyo. They knew about Rodan's return and planned to destroy all three monsters. Godzilla began snarling and roaring at Rodan as he circled high above the ring of fire. Godzilla began firing his atomic blast, he would pause, try to lock on Rodan and blast again. One time he got lucky and hit Rodan in the spiky chest and stomach. Rodan began falling to Earth. It landed on Rodan, the spikes on his front cutting up Godzilla. Godzilla grabbed onto one of Rodan's wings and began slamming him into the ground and continued doing this a few more times. Godzilla swung Rodan around by the wing and heaved him high into the air. Rodan tried to get back to normal and took flight before he could crash down into the ground. Rodan flew away, off into the distance. Godzilla felt tears rolling down his face, from the intense heat of the ring of fire. Godzilla was a clone, not supposed to be able to remember anything the original could, but this clone was different. Godzilla suddenly began getting flashbacks, to 1954, 50 years ago. There was so much anger and destruction. The city of Tokyo was on fire. Then he remembered walking underwater, he took one step and there was an eruption of bubbles. All of the air disappeared. He jumped up and swam to the surface. When he did, it was too late. His lungs had all the air taken out. The Oxygen Destroyer was taking away all living matter. All the fish were disinigrated. Godzilla stopped and sunk beneath the ocean. His memory then stopped. He did not like the way his life was he wished that he never came back. He didn't know how it happened. He remembered gasping for breath, then he was in the Italian Undersea Laboratory. He also remembered all the battles he recently went through.
Chapter 3 Testing the Continent Destroyer
Anglias was taking a stroll towards the ocean, when he saw a bunch of battleships and jets flying towards the island. He was scared and took off to the jungle. One jet carried the bomb and detonator for the Continent Destroyer. The pilot dropped the device. It landed on the ground and a drill shot out, it began drilling down under the island. Once it got to a certain spot. One of the soldiers on one of the battleships pressed a red button that set off the Continent Destroyer. Anglias was trying to hide when the island began shaking violently. The ground split in half and water rushed onto the island, destroying the jungle. The ground then began to sink down below. Anglias cried out in fear as he began to sink down as well. Explosions began popping out of the ground. He was surrounded by fire. Anglias tried to make for the ocean, but the ground fell through. Anglias stuck his claws into the ground, trying to pull himself out. The fires covered his body. Anglias looked as the fires engulfed the jungle. His home was destroyed. Anglias couldn't handle the heat so he let go and disappeared into the fire. Suddenly, water filled in the island. The fire was replaced by boiling water. Anglias was nowhere to be seen. Soon, the island was gone. That spot of the ocean was nothing, but boiling sea. It was a success. Godzilla ran through the fire and to the ocean. When he was in the ocean, he submerged and began swimming towards his and Anglias' home. He swam for a long time. Soon he made it. He arose from the ocean and saw the boiling water. The battleships and jets were all gone. Godzilla looked frantically around for Anglias. Tears rolled down his face. His home was gone, so was his very good friend, the only thing that made it worth living. Godzilla let out a sigh, then a high pitched cry of sadness. Godzilla was crying for his lost friend. Godzilla looked down at the ocean and mourned. Some jets flew overhead and saw Godzilla. Yuki was one of the pilots. She flew in close; she saw Godzilla's tears and sadness. Yuki began to cry just at the sight, the commander pilot was going to tell Yuki to fire. Godzilla felt rage surge through him. His spines began glowing blue and he reared his head up and fired his blast. The commander's jet was hit and was destroyed completely. Yuki took off with the other pilots. Godzilla was going back to his old ways. A warning was sent to Tokyo, Godzilla was going to attack. Everyone was being evacuated while a blockade was put at Tokyo Harbor. This was going to be a big attack, just like in 1954. Godzilla was picking up speed, the closer he got. The repaired maser tank was waiting there as well. Godzilla would be there in a matter of hours. "What's the date?" Yuki asked General Kenji. "It is the third of November" General Kenji replied. "Hey, look out there!" Godzilla arose from the sea and roared into the night sky. All the power in the city was shut off. Godzilla made his way towards the darkened city. The maser tank opened fire, along with the tanks and missile launchers. Godzilla roared as he was covered in explosions. Godzilla powered up his atomic blast. Blue mist and flames erupted from his throat. Yuki yelled for everyone to get out. General Kenji ran also, everyone began running. Godzilla fired his atomic blast and moved it along the blockade. All of the tanks, missile launchers, and even the fixed up maser tank were all destroyed. Godzilla got onto land and walked through the flames. The evacuation was not complete and some of the power was still on. Godzilla kicked some vehicles out of the way. A few tanks rolled through the streets and opened fire on Godzilla. Godzilla powered up his atomic blast and took out the tanks along with some civilians. Fire and debris covered the city. Godzilla whipped his tail into a building; it crumpled down onto some more scared people. Yuki had survived the explosion, along with a few others. She ran into the city to help with the evacuation. Godzilla was at the center of Tokyo, when a group of helicopters came flying in to attack. Godzilla didn't notice them until they flew past his face. He turned toward them as they fired missiles at him. They exploded onto him, but Godzilla paid no mind. When Godzilla turned, they spread out, behind buildings. Godzilla got angry as his spines began glowing blue. He fired onto all the buildings in the area that the helicopters went to hide. Buildings collapsed and streets were completely wiped out. The helicopters flew out from behind the explosions so that Godzilla couldn't see. Godzilla continued firing his blasts. The helicopters surrounded Godzilla and began firing gattling guns rapidly at Godzilla. The bullets bounced of Godzilla's skin. Godzilla powered up his atomic blast and fired. He then took out all of the helicopters. If the helicopters didn't completely explode, they crashed down to Tokyo in flames. Godzilla roared and continued destroying the city again. Yuki made it to one of the shelters, people were crying and screaming as the building continuously shuddered. Yuki picked up her radio to answer a transmission. "Yuki, Rodan has entered Tokyo, on the opposite side of Godzilla and if they continue heading in the direction they're moving, they'll run right into each other." A soldier reported. "If that happens, Godzilla and Rodan will fight, that would wipe out the whole city. We must stop them both." Yuki ordered. Rodan flew over Tokyo, causing the massive winds to send vehicles all over the place. It was like 1954 and 1956 were being replayed again. Rodan soon landed tanks and missile launchers were waiting and opened fire onto Rodan. Rodan began flapping his wings and cackling into the sky. The tanks moved back from the intense hurricane winds, but continued firing. Missiles were flying everywhere. Buildings exploded, sending flames and debris all over the streets. Rodan walked forward, continuing to flap his wings. Soldiers and civilians who had not evacuated or who not made it to the shelters. Rodan continued flapping his wings. Rodan jumped up and began flying. He flew over the city, sending vehicles into the people and the artillery. Rodan began circling over the city. Rodan saw the Tokyo Tower, way in the distance. He began flying towards it. Jets came from behind and began firing missiles at him. Rodan flew to the side. The missiles hit Rodan's back and wings. He then turned and ran right through them, they all exploded. Godzilla saw the Tokyo Tower; it was so tall that he began making his way toward it. A news helicopter fly overhead. "This looks a lot like the videotapes of Godzilla's attack way back in 1954." The reporter shouted. The cameraman was very nervous and shaking. Godzilla was staring right at the helicopter. It was all live, everyone was scared stiff, watching it all over the world. Godzilla's spines began glowing blue. The reporter began yelling at the pilot to get out of there. Godzilla fired his atomic blast, the helicopter exploded. Pieces of metal flew all over the place. Godzilla roared as the fires in Tokyo rose up higher. Yuki and all of the civilians could still feel the shelter shaking from the explosions outside. Yuki didn't understand what made Godzilla go back to his old ways, she did understand the sorrow of losing Anglias, but this seemed a little extreme. Rodan landed on top of the Tokyo Tower and cackeled loud into the sky. He then looked down and saw Godzilla moving towards the tower. Godzilla saw Rodan and began powering up his nuclear energy. Rodan was flapping his wings, ready to take off. Godzilla fired his atomic blast at the bottom of the tower and moved it up towards Rodan. Rodan took off, as the tower was destroyed. Godzilla fired again, into the sky after Rodan, but missed. Rodan landed behind Godzilla. Godzilla roared and charged at Rodan. Godzilla then bent his knees down and leaped through the air, onto Rodan. Rodan cackled out as Godzilla crushed him into the ground. Godzilla stood back up and began stomping Rodan into the ground. Rodan knocked Godzilla back with his huge wing then got back to his feet. When Godzilla got back up, Rodan was flapping his wings. Godzilla tried to hold his ground, but the winds were too strong. Godzilla fell back, his spines piercing into the streets as he fell back hard. Godzilla got back up, but Rodan was still flapping his wings. Godzilla fired out his atomic blast, getting Rodan in the chest, which stopped the winds. Godzilla then charged back at Rodan. They then started, hand to wing combat. Godzilla slashed at Rodan, as Rodan beat Godzilla with his wings. They then began to really tear up the city. Yuki received special orders when Rodan and Godzilla began fighting. "We need to get those two monsters out at sea, and then we can take them both out with the Continent Destroyer." General Kenji ordered. Godzilla knocked the burning Tokyo Tower over onto Rodan, who cackled and flapped his wings rapidly as it crashed down onto him. Godzilla blasted through the rubble. The explosion was gigantic and took out a few other buildings. Godzilla moved towards the flames, but was blasted with debris as Rodan flew up from the rubble, into the sky. Godzilla fired his blast and hit directly onto Rodan's right wing. Rodan plummeted down to Earth again. Godzilla moved slowly towards Rodan. Rodan was about to flap Godzilla back, but Godzilla put his foot on Rodan's chest and began pushing him down. Godzilla ignored the spikes going through his foot. Rodan began drooling and foaming from his beak, as the air was crushed out of him.
Chapter 4 A Blast From the Past
Godzilla stopped crushing Rodan and looked down at his weakened enemy. Rodan was crushed deep into the streets. Godzilla looked down at his beaten enemy. His spines began to glow blue and emit a blue mist. Rodan's eyes widened and he tried to move. Godzilla's mouth erupted out his atomic beam. Rodan was hit in the chest. Godzilla and Rodan both disappeared in a huge explosion. Buildings were blown apart, as if an atom bomb just went off. The streets shook and cracked apart. Gas stations exploded, sending burning fuel onto the streets. A huge mushroom cloud rose up high into the clouds. Yoko and all the frightened civilians were thrown all over the place as the shelter shook very violently and even shook apart a little bit. Yoko got everyone together as the shaking calmed down. Some thought that a nuclear bomb was dropped onto Tokyo. The flames cleared as the mushroom cloud slowly disappeared into the dark sky. Godzilla stood there, a bit cut up from his own blast. Rodan was pushed far underground, but could not be seen. There was a huge crater in the center of Tokyo, black smoke rising from it. Godzilla looked around to see if he could see Rodan. When finally he stopped, he began roaring in victory. Godzilla swung his tail around, as he turned, to continue his assault. Godzilla entered a part of Tokyo that was still in good condition. He fired out his atomic blast across the ground, taking out most of it. He swung his tail and smashed it right through a smaller building. Godzilla did not plan on stopping this attack anytime soon. General Kenji had the Continent Destroyer set in a very large area under the sea. Godzilla was to be lured there somehow. He ordered a squad of jets to get his attention. Godzilla looked as a large amount of GDS jets flew at him. They flew up high and dropped bombs onto him. Godzilla roared as he was covered in explosions. The jets then turned and flew towards the sea. Godzilla did not plan on following until, Rodan flew overhead. Rodan cackled loudly as he flew right through the jets. Rodan was very badly injured and burned. Much of his flesh had been blasted off. Godzilla was very angry and began following after Rodan, destroying everything in his way. Yoko got orders to leave the civilians to another soldier. She got on a large ship that went out to where the Continent Destroyer was set. It was a very large device, which attached itself to the bottom of the ocean. It had very many lights and buttons, but it would be detonated from one of the ships. Godzilla was back at Tokyo Harbor. He looked up as Rodan flew towards the open ocean. Godzilla roared and walked into the ocean. Godzilla submerged and began swimming at full speed. Yoko watched as Godzilla arose from the ocean and Rodan circled the area. Godzilla was right above the Continent Destroyer. Rodan cackled madly as he moved downwards and straight at Godzilla. Godzilla caught Rodan and the two pecked and bit onto each other. Godzilla bit into Rodan's left wing, which had many wounds on it. Rodan pecked at the side of Godzilla's neck. General got many memories from back in 1954 and 1956. He did not want the world to suffer this pain any longer. He pressed a red button. The Continent Destroyer exploded. The water began to steam and foam. Godzilla cried out in pain. When Godzilla released Rodan, Rodan went backwards into the boiling water. Godzilla cried out as steam rose up from his body. Godzilla grabbed onto Rodan. Rodan let out cries of pain as well. Both monsters continued fighting, as they slowly sunk into the ocean, out of sight. Godzilla and Rodan sunk through the bubbles of the weapon. The ground under the ocean cracked open and sunk beneath the Earth. When Rodan and Godzilla reached the bottom, they continued fighting, but suddenly it stopped. Godzilla watched as Rodan disappeared into the bubbles. Godzilla felt his skin burning badly. Godzilla had a flashback to 1954, when the Oxygen Destroyer was taking him. Godzilla roared under the water. A long sad roar, as he slowly disappeared with the explosions and bubbles. Above the water, the signs of Rodan and Godzilla disappeared off the radars. The water continued to foam and steam. Yoko began to feel tears come to her eyes. She looked into the sky and remembered the many battles Godzilla went through. She wondered if King Ghidorah would ever return, or Mothra, or any other monsters. She looked back at the water. The year 2004 was a very important year. Yoko sat back and more tears rolled down her face, as she realized... The age of monsters, was over.
