King Ghidorah 2004
Kaiser Ghidorah

Played by: Motokuni Nakagawa

Well, along with Godzilla's 50th anniversary film, "Godzilla: Final Wars", also came a new version of King Ghidorah, this time dubbed Kaiser Ghidorah. This suit was absolutely huge and it took two people to operate it. Looking like a cross between the Rebirth of Mothra series' Death Ghidorah and Grand King Ghidorah, the suit sports three fearsome looking heads, with the middle head having much larger horns than the other two. The necks are strangely thick when compared to other King Ghidorah suits and look rather odd attatched to the body. The wings and tails of the suit are far too small in my opinion, they don't look very fitting for such a large kaiju. The tails of this suit are long and skinny, they no longer have the club-like tips that used to be on Ghidorah's tails in previous incarnations, making the tails look like rat tails. A version of King Ghidorah needs to be imposing, one of his most imposing aspects are his wings and with the wings being tiny, he loses some of that aspect to his character, but more than makes up for it with his immense size. His size, however, looks to have made it very difficult to operate the suit. Kaiser Ghidorah hardly moves his body at all during the final fight between Godzilla and himself. Plus the coloration and skin of the suit aren't the greatest either, making Kaiser Ghidorah look like he was constructed out of a golden tarp and duct tape. The suit was not very impressive as the final, ultimate monster foe for Godzilla to face in GFW, but the transformation of Monster X to Kaiser Ghidorah did look very cool.
