| The Kilaaks were a race of aliens from a small planet located in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter who arrived on Earth in the year 1999 claiming that it was their territory and planned to take over the planet. To enforce this plan of world domination, the Kilaaks attacked Monster Land on Ogasawara Island and took control of all the kaiju on the island, then sent the monsters to attack major cities around the world, destroying them one by one. With attention diverted away from Japan by monster attacks around the world, the Kilaaks set up a base in Izu, an area near Mount Fuji. Tokyo is then completely assaulted and destroyed by the kaiju Godzilla, Rodan, Manda, and Mothra. After that, the Japanese locate the Izu base and attempt to retaliate, but are defeated by both Godzilla and Anguirus. However, when it is discovered that the main mind-control signals are coming from another base on the moon, the Moonlight SY-3 is sent to put an end to the signals by destroying the control transmitter, which they do and take out the Kilaak base as well. In doing this, the crew discovers that the Kilaaks revert to a small, metallic worm-like creature without a high temperature environment to survive in (they can hibernate indefinitely in this form). The Kilaak control system is then taken back to Earth, now placing the humans in control of the monsters. Then all the Ogasawaran kaiju gather at Mount Fuji to attack the Kilaak base... Godzilla, Anguirus, Gorosaurus, Rodan, Mothra, Varan, Baragon, Manda, Kumonga, and Minya all stand ready for battle, but the Kilaaks bring in an unexpected weapon... King Ghidorah! The three-headed space kaiju, however, is quickly beaten back by the combined power of the Earth monsters and is ultimately killed by their combined strength. But when all seems said and done, a burning monster called the “Fire Dragon” suddenly appears in the sky, attacking Rodan and then destroying the command center on Ogasawara Island. But sensing the enemy Kilaaks near by, Godzilla destroys their base and the Kilaaks are reduced to their rock-like forms. The SY-3 then engages the burning monster in battle and quickly destroys the monster, which is actually a Kilaak saucer, ending their threat once and for all. | |
