Manda returned in 1968 after a short, five-year absence in “Destroy All Monsters”. Just like many of the suits and marionettes for this film, the Manda marionette from 1963 was brought out and refurbished for the film. The whiskers and horns were removed from the head, making Manda look less like an ancient Chinese dragon and more like a giant snake. Other than that, all the old details remained the same, except for the row of hair running down the length of the body, which seemed reduced a bit.
