When MechaGodzlla returned for the Godzilla Heisei series in 1993’s “Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla II”, he had an all-new design. Now while it did retain the basic design of the old MechaGodzilla from 1974/1975, this MechaGodzilla was made to look much smoother and more stream-line than its predecessor. Smooth, shiny metallic armor covered the suit’s body and it had glowing yellow eyes. The design was made to closer resemble Godzilla himself than an actual robot. What really made the suit work was the incredibly good robotic performance of suit actor Wataru Fukuda.
