Guiron debuted in 1969 in the film, "Gamera vs. Guiron". In this film, Guiron, an alien kaiju from the planet Tera, is the guardian of what remains of the alien civilization on the planet. Guiron is called upon to defend the last alien survivors from the flocks of Space Gyaos that also inhabit the planet, cutting them to ribbons with his sword-like head if they challenge him. Forced to travel to the Planet Tera in order to rescue two Earth children, Gamera battled Guiron, ordered by the brain-eating Terans to destroy the friend of all children. In the first battle between the two kaiju, Guiron was the victor, forcing Gamera to retreat into the sea to heal his wounds. Meanwhile, the aliens imprison the boys and leave to fix their spaceship, which was damaged by Gamera. While the aliens are away, the boys release Guiron, who attacks the alien women and destroys their spaceship before diving into the sea to attack Gamera, who grabs Guiron and takes the battle back to solid ground. After a fierce battle, Gamera finally gains the upper hand by sticking Guiron into the ground by his sword-like head and tossing a Teran missile into the round shuriken star section of Guiron's head, destroying much of the quadruped kaiju’s skull and destroying Guiron once and for all.
Guiron was 85 meters long and weighed 110 tons. Guiron's only offensive weapons were the shuriken stars he fired from the sides of his sword-like head. Guiron's strongest weapon was his sword-head, which could cut through almost anything and was able to deflect beams fired at him. Guiron also used his teeth and claws as weapons, he could also leap great distances.

FEBRUARY 2001
MINILLA
Minilla made his debut on December 16, 1967 in the film, "Son of Godzilla". In this film, Minilla, a strange little mutated dinosaur, was hatched and adopted by the King of the Monsters on Sogellel Island in 1967. The Kamakiras on the island uncovered Minilla's egg, broke it open, and began attacking the pudgy little kaiju. Godzilla soon arrived on the scene and took out two of the three Kamakiras, before seemingly adopted Minilla as his son. Later, both Godzilla and Minilla battled Kumonga, a giant spider on the island. Kumonga was a tough opponent, but Godzilla and Minilla were finally able to defeat him before they were forced to go into a one year hibernation due to the scientist's climate-control machine. During this time, they were captured and became incarcerated on Ogasawara Island. Minilla didn't take part in the destruction of the cities once the Kilaaks took control of the kaiju (that we know of) or the final battle for that matter, but he did use one of his radioactive smoke rings to asphyxiate King Ghidorah's middle head once he was taken down by Godzilla, Gorosaurus, and Anguirus. After the final battle, Minilla returned with the other kaiju to Ogasawara Island, and has remained there ever since. Only once appearing briefly in the dream of a young Japanese boy named Ichiro and fighting the monster Gabara.
Minilla stands at a height of 18 meters and weights approximately 3,300 tons. Minilla doesn't fight often, but when he does, he uses his teeth, claws, radioactive smoke rings, and the occasional radioactive heat ray to take on his opponents.

MARCH 2001
KING SEESAR
King Seesar made his debut on March 21, 1974 in the film, "Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla". In this film, King Seesar, the ancient protector of the Azumi Royal Family and one of the few mammalian kaiju, was summoned by the people he protects to battle MechaGodzilla in 1974. MechaGodzilla, who was destroying Japan for the alien apes from the Third Planet in the Black Hole, had a brief battle with King Seesar, knocking him out and preparing to finish him off before Godzilla showed up. King Seesar and Godzilla then teamed up against the robotic kaiju and defeated him after a long and bloody battle. After MechaGodzilla was destroyed, King Seesar returned to his resting place inside a cliff along the coast of Okinawa and has been there resting ever since, waiting to be summoned once again to defend the Azumi Royal Family and Earth.
King Seesar stands at a height of 50 meters and weights about 33,000 tons. King Seesar relies on his agility, claws, teeth, and viciousness in battle. He can also reflect an opponents energy beams back at him with his eyes.

APRIL 2001
MOTHRA
Mothra made her debut in 1961 in her own film, "Mothra" and by 1964 had come over to the Godzilla series. The deity kaiju was awakened in 1961 when the Twin Fairies that worship her were kidnapped from their home, Infant Island. In her larva form, Mothra instantly headed to the Tokyo in order to rescue the fairies, laying waste to the great city in the process. However, in her attack on Tokyo, the Mothra larva was injured and then began to construct a cocoon around Tokyo Tower. Heat beams were used on the cocoon, charing it, but Mothra was unharmed and soon emerged as the winged, adult Mothra. Mothra then left Japan and attacked the nation of Rolisica, where the kidnappers had taken the Twin Fairies, destroying New Kirk City before she finally was reunited with the fairies and returned to Infant Island. Three years later, Mothra’s egg was washed off of Infant Island and all the way to Japan by a monstrous hurricane. Seeing the egg as a large tourist attraction, Happy Enterprises decided to purchase the egg and put it on display against the wishes of the Twin Fairies and Mothra, who returned to Infant Island knowing the larva would return once it hatched, but it would cause destruction in Japan when it did. At almost the same time, Godzilla returned and destroys Nagoya, causing the Japanese to ask for Mothra’s help and she agrees, even though she is at death’s door. Mothra flies to Japan and attacked Godzilla just as he was about to destroy Mothra’s egg at Happy Enterprises. Mothra was eventually defeated by Godzilla, but landed on her egg as she died, hiding it from the King of the Monsters and he wandered off to cause more destruction. The egg soon hatched and produced two larva, who set out to attack Godzilla on a nearby island, where they covered him in webbing and sent him crashing down into the ocean.
Later that same year, one of the two larva died, but the other was called upon by the Twin Fairies to try and persuade the battling Godzilla and Rodan to fight the bigger threat to the planet, King Ghidorah. The two monsters wouldn’t cooperate at first, but finally they came together along with Mothra to defeat the space monster, forcing King Ghidorah to retreat back into the blackness of space. Mothra then returned to Infant Island, where she apparently transformed into her adult form and fell into a deep sleep over the next two years. When she finally awoke due to the massive prayers from the enslaved islanders working for the Red Bamboo, she headed straight for Letchi Island, where she briefly fought Godzilla before grabbing her people in a net they had constructed and flying them to safety. Years later, a Mothra larva appeared among the incarcerated monsters on Ogasawara Island, where she was eventually taken control of by the invading alien Kilaaks. Under their control, Mothra attacked Beijing and then obliterated Tokyo with the help of Godzilla, Rodan, and Manda. Later, the monsters were freed from Kilaak control by the crew of the Moonlight SY-3 and gathered at Mount Fuji to attack the Kilaaks. King Ghidorah appeared and took on all the monsters, Mothra, along with Kumonga, sprayed the three-headed monster with webbing throughout the battle, trying to entangle the space kaiju so the other monsters could finish him off. Mothra then returned with the other kaiju to Ogasawara Island. She would return in 1992 with a new origin...
This time, Mothra was created thousands of years ago by the ancient Cosmos civilization to protect themselves. However, Battra, the Black Mothra, was created by the Earth to eliminate the Cosmos, for they were destroying the Earth. Battra succeeded in destroying their civilization, but before the entire race could be wiped out, Mothra and Battra battled, with Mothra taking the victory and Battra being laid to rest in the northern sea of what is now Japan. In 1992, the egg of Mothra is uncovered by a hurricane and discovered on Infant Island by a group of explorers. It is decided by the group to have the egg shipped back to Japan, but while en route to Japan, Godzilla appeared and attacked the transport ship. A Mothra larva soon hatched from the egg and engaged Godzilla in battle, but before the Monster King can take out the Mothra larva, Battra suddenly appears and attacks Godzilla, allowing Mothra to escape. Later, when the Cosmos are kidnapped by the Maritomo Company, Mothra journeys to Tokyo and wreaks havoc in the city until she locates the Cosmos, but then is attacked by the JSDF. Wounded, Mothra constructs a cocoon around the capital building and later emerges as the adult Mothra. Meanwhile, Battra also changes into his adult form before engaging Mothra in the skies above Japan and battling all the way to Yokohama. There, Godzilla reappears and attacks both monsters, who after being injured by the Monster King, realize Godzilla is the bigger threat and team up against him. The combined strength of Mothra and Battra is eventually able to overcome Godzilla and they carry him out to sea and drop him into the ocean below, but Godzilla kills Battra and takes him with him. Mothra then left the Earth and headed off into space to destroy an asteroid that Battra had intended to destroy in 1999 in order to save the Earth. Years later, after destroying the asteroid, Mothra returned to Earth and laid an egg that would later begin the next generation of Mothra.
During the Showa series, the Mothra adult was 65 meters long, had a wingspan of 135 meters, and weighed 15,000 tons. The Larva was 53 meters long and 15,000 tons. Back then, Mothra's weapons were her poison powder, hurricane winds, and flight at mach 3. However, in 1992, Mothra's stats changed. The Mothra Adult was then 65 meters long, had a wingspan of 175 meters, and weighed 20,000 tons. The Larva was 120 meters long and 15,000 tons. Now Mothra's weapons were her antenna beams, hurricane winds, reflecting scales, and flight at mach 3. Mothra will be returning in "Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack" in December 2001.

MAY 2001
BARAGON
Baragon made his debut in 1965 in the film, "Frankenstein Conquers the World". In this film, Baragon, a dinosaur who survived whatever killed off the great reptiles 65 million years ago by tunneling underground and apparently mutated by underground pockets of uranium, Baragon made his first appearance in 1965, destroying an oil factory on the coast of Japan before moving further inland via underground. Baragon tunneled all over the Japanese countryside, devouring people and their livestock to fill his large appetite. Finally, Baragon came across a creature he couldn’t devour, Frankenstein, and the two engaged in a fierce battle across the wooded mountains of Japan until Frankenstein defeated Baragon by breaking his neck and the two kaiju sank underground when the ground gave way beneath them. Baragon reappeared years later as an inhabitant of Ogasawara Island. Once the Kilaaks took control, however, it is not known what his mission was other than to guard the Kilaak base at Isu, but he did appear as a spectator at the final battle against King Ghidorah and then returned to his island home with the other kaiju, where he has remained ever since.
In 1965, when Baragon battled Frankenstein, he was 25 meters tall and weighed 275 tons, but in Destroy All Monsters, Baragon had grown to nearly 57 meters and was now 33,750 tons (my guess). Baragon relies on mostly physical attacks against his enemies, like Anguirus does. He uses his nasal horn, claws, teeth, burrowing ability, and 100-meter jump quite effectively in battle. However, Baragon does have his flame ray as his offensive weapon.
Baragon was last seen on Ogasawara Island in 1999 after the Kilaak attack, but will be returning in "Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack" in December 2001!

JUNE 2001
KING GHIDORAH
King Ghidorah made his debut in 1964 in the film, "Ghidorah: The Three-Headed Monster." In this film, the three-headed monster King Ghidorah attacked Earth for the first time, arriving on the planet encased within a meteor that crashed in Japan. King Ghidorah soon emerged from the meteor and set out to complete its mission; destroy all live on Earth. Knowing the threat that King Ghidorah was to the planet, the Twin Fairies of Infant Island called Mothra to try and persuade the battling Godzilla and Rodan to fight King Ghidorah. The two monsters wouldn’t cooperate at first, but finally they came together along with Mothra to defeat the space monster, forcing King Ghidorah to retreat back into the blackness of space. A year later, aliens from the newly discovered Planet X tricked the Earth into trading Godzilla and Rodan to them so they could rid their world of King Ghidorah, in exchange for a miracle drug to cure all disease. The Xians took control of Godzilla and Rodan and sent them to destroy Earth along with King Ghidorah. However, scientists discovered a way to defeat the Xians by crippling them with a high-pitched sound while using A-Cycle Light Rays to free Godzilla, Rodan, and King Ghidorah from their control. After the Xians were destroyed, Godzilla and Rodan attacked King Ghidorah, the three battled until they all fell off of a cliff and into the ocean. Only King Ghidorah emerged, fleeing back into space. Years later, the Kilaaks, an alien race from the asteroid belt, tried conquer Earth by taking control of all the Earth’s monsters and forcing them to destroy the world’s major cities. However, their plan was eventually thwarted by an attack on their Moon Base by the crew of the Moonlight SY-3. Free of alien control, all the Earth monsters gathered at Mount Fuji to attack the Kilaaks, but the aliens weren’t through yet, however, and sent King Ghidorah to attack the monsters. King Ghidorah battled ferociously against Godzilla, Anguirus, Gorosaurus, Rodan, Mothra, Kumonga, and Minilla while Manda, Varan, and Baragon looked on. But in the end, the space monster was defeated and apparently killed by the combined strength of his enemies, his body disappearing into an underground cavern shortly after he was killed. Somehow, King Ghidorah returned a few years later along with the cyborg kaiju Gigan as minions of the cockroach aliens of the Nebula SpaceHunter M in order to take over the Earth. The aliens sent the two space monsters to attack Tokyo, but Godzilla and Anguirus soon arrived and a lengthy battle ensued. The battled moved back and forth until the alien cockroaches were finally killed and their “Godzilla Tower” destroyed. Their alien masters gone, King Ghidorah and Gigan were quickly dispatched by Godzilla and Anguirus, both space monsters fleeing back into space, until 1991...
King Ghidorah returned in 1991 with a new origin. The Futurians, a group of people from the future time travel back to the year 1991 to try and keep Japan from becoming an international super-power in the 23rd century. In order to do this, they travel back in time to Lagos Island in the year 1944 and teleport the Godzillasaurus, a dinosaur that would later mutate into Godzilla due to H-Bomb tests, to the Bering Sea. They then leave three biologically engineered creatures they call Dorats behind on the island to be exposed to the radiation of the H-Bomb tests before they travel back to 1991. When the crew of the mission returns, they discover that the Dorats have merged into a single, three-headed monster dubbed King Ghidorah. Under the control of the Futurians, King Ghidorah begin destroying Japan city by city, carrying out the plan to stop Japan from becoming a future superpower. Soon, in an attempt to stop King Ghidorah’s reign of terror, the Japanese try to create a new Godzilla from the dinosaur in the Bering Sea by sending a nuclear submarine to attack it. However, Godzilla has already been reborn thanks to a previous accident with a Soviet nuclear submarine, exposing the Godzillasaurus to radiation, making an even larger and more powerful Godzilla thanks to the modern radiation. Godzilla soon makes his way to Japan and King Ghidorah is sent in to destroy him. After a tense battle, Godzilla finally claims victory after leveling King Ghidorah with a nuclear pulse and then blasting the central head from King Ghidorah’s body with his radioactive heat ray. Godzilla then destroys the Futurian ship and sends King Ghidorah crashing into the ocean. Roaring in victory, Godzilla then makes his way toward Tokyo. However, Emi Kano, the Japanese Futurian, returns to the future and rebuilds King Ghidorah as the cyborg, Mecha-King Ghidorah to try and save Japan from Godzilla’s wrath...
In the Showa series, King Ghidorah was 100 meters tall, had a wingspan of 150 meters, and weighed 33,000 tons, but in 1991 (for the Heisei series) he was now 150 meters, had a wingspan of 175 meters, and was 77,000 tons. King Ghidorah relies on his anti-gravity beams to destroy cities as well as his opponents, but in grapple situations, his three heads are very effective with their strong jaws. King Ghidorah can fly at Mach 3 and also uses his wings to create hurricane force winds to take down his enemies.
King Ghidorah will soon be returning in "Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack" in December 2001!

JULY 2001
IRYS
Irys made his debut in 1999 in the film, "Gamera 3". In this film, a young Japanese girl named Ayana, on a dare, journeys into a cave thought to be the resting place of an ancient monster spirit. When she gets deep into the cave, she finds the egg, that of an advanced species of Gyaos, the sleeping monster dwells in, which soon hatches and becomes attached to Ayana. The monster, named Irys by Ayana, also feels her hatred for the monster Gamera, who killed her parents during his battle with Gyaos in Tokyo four years ago. Soon the guardian of the ancient cave, a boy named Moribe, arrives and scolds Ayana for intruding in the sacred shrine that the cave was, but after seeing Irys, becomes curious about the creature and goes off to try and find out what it is. Finding a book about the legend of four guardian monsters, he discovers that Irys is the sworn enemy of Gamera. Hearing this, Ayana became even closer to Irys, hoping that he would one day kill Gamera. Irys then attempted to unite with Ayana as Gamera had with Asagi and placed her in a cocoon he created. Irys then began to grow and slaughtered Ayana’s adoptive family, all except her brother, and then escaped into the forest. Moribe soon returned to the cave and rescued Ayana from the cocoon, but soon the Japanese government came and took the girl, taking her to Kyoto to study her link with Irys. Sensing this, Irys took to the air and flew to Kyoto to unite with Ayana. JSDF fighter jets soon took to the sky to engage Irys, but they were no match for the mutated Gyaos and were about to be destroyed when Gamera suddenly arrived on the scene and engaged Irys in battle. An intense aerial battle ensued, which eventually moved to the Kyoto train station, where Ayana, Asagi, and Co. were trying to evacuate the city. Crashing right through the side of the building and actually fighting inside of it, Irys eventually was able to overpower Gamera, impaling the Guardian of the Universe straight through the chest and back with his arm blades. Gamera fell to the streets below, apparently mortally wounded, while Irys turned his attention to Ayana and enveloped her with his body, taking her inside his glowing chest. However, while Irys was distracted, Gamera recovered and attacked, jamming his left fist right into Irys’ chest and pulling Ayana out, saving her. Enraged, Irys counterattacked and impaled Gamera’s right hand with one of his arm blades. He then began to absorb Gamera’s energy, using it to create plasma fireballs at the tips of his spear-tipped tentacles. Then, in a desperate attempt to free himself, Gamera blasted his own hand with a plasma fireball, severing his own hand. Realizing he had to act fast, Irys fired his new plasma fireballs at Gamera, but the Guardian of the Universe reached out with the stump where his hand was and caught the plasma fireballs in the stump. This created a fiery plasma arm that Gamera thrust forward and straight through Irys’ body, the fiery energy causing the evil monster to explode, his innards raining down on the Kyoto train station, which was now completely destroyed as Gamera roared in victory.
Irys was 99 meters tall and weighed 199 tons. Irys used his arm blades, flight at mach 3.5, life-draining powers, and seemingly unlimited spear-tipped tentacles to attack his enemies. These tentacles could also fire beams of their own.

AUGUST 2001
MOGERA
Mogera made his debut in the 1957 film, "The Mysterians." In this film, the robotic kaiju Moguera, a machine created by the invading aliens called Mysterians, first appeared in the Mount Fuji area. Moguera went on a rampage under the Mysterian's control, laying waste to everything in site, even the many attempts by the JSDF to stop him. Finally, the robotic kaiju was defeated when a bridge that he was crossing was dynamited, destroying Moguera utterly. However, a different Moguera arrived during the final battle at the Mysterian base, tunneling under a Maklite Cannon in an attempt to destroy it. Instead, the cannon fell on top of the second robotic kaiju, destroying it.
Mogera would return in 1994 for "Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla" with a completely different origin. This time, MOGERA was created as G-Force's newest robotic creation to fight Godzilla after MechaGodzilla was destroyed. MOGERA (Mobile Operation Godzilla Expert Robot Aero-type) was instead diverted to battle SpaceGodzilla in the asteroid belt, where space kaiju temporarily defeated him and sent him spiraling off into space. After returning to Earth, MOGERA was repaired and fitted with new weapons. Now under the control of a new crew, MOGERA was again sent out to battle SpaceGodzilla, this time in Fukuoka where the space kaiju had erected himself a crystal fortress in the city. However, MOGERA’s new commander, Akira Yuki, disobeyed his orders and went after Godzilla, who was also on his way to confront SpaceGodzilla. After a brief attack on Godzilla, the other members of his crew, Koji Shinjo and Kiyoshi Sato, overpowered Yuki and took control of the robotic kaiju, steering it back toward Fukuoka. There, MOGERA and Godzilla fought side by side against SpaceGodzilla, where the robotic kaiju actually managed to shatter both of the space kaiju’s energy-channeling shoulder crystals with its spiral grenade missiles. However, SpaceGodzilla then turned his attention from Godzilla and attacked MOGERA in a blind rage, beating the robotic kaiju so badly that it exploded due to the damage it received. Godzilla then overloaded SpaceGodzilla with his own radioactive energy, causing the space kaiju to explode and ending his threat.
In 1958 Mogera was 50 meters tall and weighed 50,000 tons. He used his plasma eye beams and tunneling, but never fought any other kaiju, so his battle tendancies are not known. In 1994, Mogera was 120 meters tall and weighed 176,000 tons. His many weapons and abilities included plasma eye beams, a plasma maser cannon from chest, spiral grenade missiles from hands, a rotating drill nose, can fly at Mach 1 on Earth and Mach 44 in space. His most interesting feature was the ability to transform into the flying Star Falcon and the burrowing Land Mogera.

SEPTEMBER 2001
KAMAKIRAS
Kamakiras made his debut in the 1967 film, "Son of Godzilla." In this film, when a United Nations weather control experiment on the Sogellel Island accidently caused a radioactive storm in 1967, the island was doused in a radioactive rainstorm and causing at least three of the island’s already two meter Kamakiras, to mutate into 50 meter monsters. After scarring the United Nations crew for a while, the Kamakiras uncovered and attacked Minilla's egg, breaking it open and then proceeding to try and devour Minilla. Godzilla, hearing the cries of Minilla, arrived on the island and quickly killed two of the Kamakiras with his radioactive heat ray, but one managed to escape. Later, Kumonga, the giant spider, killed the third Kamakiras in battle when he entangled the giant mantis in his webbing and jabbed it with his poison stinger. Thought to have been wiped out by Kumonga on Sogellel Island, a Kamakiras later turned up on Ogasawara Island, living in peace with the other monsters.
Kamakiras stands at a height of 50 meters and weighs 3,080 tons. In battle, Kamakiras relies on his spiked claws and mandibles, but when he is forced to retreat, he can quickly fly away.

OCTOBER 2001
BATTRA
Battra made his debut in the 1992 film, "Godzilla vs. Mothra." In this film, Battra, the Black Mothra, was created by the Earth to eliminate the ancient Cosmos civilization, for they were destroying the Earth. Battra succeeded in destroying their civilization, but before the entire race could be wiped out, Mothra, their protector, battled Battra and defeated him. Battra was then laid to rest in the northern sea of what is now Japan. However, in 1992 Battra was awakened when a huge meteorite crashed into the Earth and caused a stream of cataclysmic events. After being woken up by the meteorite, Battra, in his larva form, immediately headed for Japan and attacked the city of Nagoya, but then sensing Mothra’s presence, Battra left Japan and headed for her location in the ocean waters off the Phillipines. However, once Battra arrived on the scene, the Mothra larva was already battling Godzilla. Seeing a bigger challenge in Godzilla, Battra tossed Mothra aside and attacked the Monster King. The battle was a short one, and ended when the two kaiju were sucked into an undersea volcano. However, both Godzilla and Battra, who transforms into his adult form, eventually emerge from their volcanic prison and head for Yokohama. Mothra engaged Battra on the way their and the two kaiju battled in the skies over Japan until they reach Yokohama, where Godzilla attacks them both, injuring the winged kaiju. Mothra then convinces Battra to aid her in taking on the bigger threat, Godzilla, and their combined strength is eventually able to overcome Godzilla and they carry him out to sea in order to drop him into the ocean below. However, while flying the Monster King out to sea, Godzilla attacked Battra, ripping into his thorax with tooth and heat ray, eventually killing the Black Mothra. Seeing this, Mothra let go of Godzilla, sending both the Monster King and the carcass of Battra plummeting into the ocean below.
The adult Battra was 73 meters long, had a wingspan of 180 meters, and weighed 33,000 tons. The Larva was 90 meters long and 22,000 tons. Battra relied heavily on his prism beams from his eyes, jaws, and his wings for fighting in the adult stage, but in larva form his extremely hard exoskeleton, prism beams from his horn as well as his eyes, tunneling, and jaws came into play.

NOVEMBER 2001
MEGAGUIRUS
Megaguirus made her debut in the 24th Godzilla film, "Godzilla X Megaguirus". In this film, at the dawn of the new millennium, mankind’s latest weapon to try and defeat Godzilla would bring another threat to Japan. This new weapon, dubbed the Dimensional Tide, creates a mini-black hole that would pull Godzilla into another dimension, relieving Japan of his constant threat. However, after the Dimensional Tide was tested for the first time on an abandoned schoolhouse, the area where the black hole appeared became unstable, opening a rift in space and time. Through this rift a Meganura, a member of a prehistoric race of carnivorous insects, came through and left an egg behind, which was picked up by a young Japanese boy who took it to Tokyo with him. Hoping to care for the egg, the boy becomes frightened when the egg begins to leak water and drops it into the city’s sewer, where it hatches and gives birth to a swarm of Meganurons as well as floods the city. The Meganurons feed on citizens of the city and eventually evolve into the dragonfly-like Meganura, who then search out Godzilla in order to feed off of his radioactive energy. They locate the Monster King on a deserted island where the G-Graspers are trying to get him with the Dimensional Tide, but the plan fails. Several of the Meganura are destroyed in the battle with Godzilla, but many survive and return to Tokyo, giving the Monster King’s energy to one individual Meganuron they had chosen to become their leader, Megaguirus. Megaguirus soon rises from the flooded streets of Tokyo and leaves to find Godzilla and destroy him. Megaguirus attacks Godzilla as he arrives in Tokyo, heading for a hidden plasma power plant within the Japanese capital. The fight was long and very vicious, Megaguirus looked as if she might actually defeat the King of the Monsters, seeing as he was having a hard time dealing with her high-speed flight. However, Godzilla was finally able to figure out a way to attack Megaguirus despite her speed and eventually bite off the insect kaiju’s energy-vacume needle. Stunned by this mortal attack, Megaguirus tried to escape Godzilla by flying high into the sky, but the King of the Monsters was finally able to target Megaguirus with his radioactive heat ray and did so, blasting the insect kaiju from the sky and destroying her once and for all.
Megaguirus was 50 meters long, had a wingspan of 80 meters, and weighed roughly 12,000 tons. Megaguirus relied on her great flight speed, shockwaves, and energy-vaccume needle in battle, but could also deliver energy balls to take down her opponents. She also used her jaws and pinchers for grappling.

DECEMBER 2001
BARUGON
Barugon made his debut in the 1966 film, "Gamera vs. Barugon". In this film, treasure hunters from Japan traveled to an island in New Guinea and stole an opal one of their buddies found there during World War II back, they had no idea what they were in for. They soon find out that the opal is not what it seems and on the way home from the island on a ship, the opal is exposed to an infrared ray being used to treat athletes foot on one of the treasure hunters. The ray’s radiation caused the opal to hatch and mutated Barugon, causing him to reach adult size within hours instead of the ten years that it should take. Once the ship docked in Japan, Barugon emerged from the boat and began his rampage across Japan. Missiles, fighter jets, and tanks were used against him, but Barugon's icy mist froze everything in his path and his rainbow ray, which brought Gamera to the area due the heat it gives off. Gamera and Barugon get into a brief battle, which ends with Barugon freezing Gamera with his icy mist and leaves him for dead as he continues his path of destruction. The JSDF attacks Barugon again, but still nothing works. They even try using a large diamond brought by a native girl from New Guinea to attract Barugon to Lake Bewa and drown him, but it fails. The JSDF next decides to immobilize Barugon with artificial rain while they built a huge reflective mirror to reflect Barugon’s rainbow ray back at him. Once the giant mirror is constructed, the JSDF fires on Barugon, forcing him to attack with his rainbow ray, which is reflected back at him, severely injuring him, but the mutant kaiju survives. However, Gamera soon reappears, having thawed out from his previous battle with Barugon and makes short work of the quadruped kaiju, grabbing him by the throat and dragging him into a lake where he soon drowns.
Barugon was 80 meters long and weighed 70 tons. In battle, Barugon relied on his teeth, narsal horn, and claws for close combat. However, for long-range combat he used his highly destructive rainbow ray, which originated from his back horns. He also had the ability to lash out with his tongue and freeze opponents with icy mist that he sprayed from his tongue.
