When most classic kaiju returned to the Godzilla series in the Heisei era, they underwent a drastic change of look. However, when Mothra returned for the Heisei series in 1992’s “Godzilla vs. Mothra”, she hadn’t really changed at all. Her body, head, and wings remained basically the same as they had been in the Showa series. The only real differences were now Mothra had sort of a “plush toy” look to her, red fur patches were placed her back and head instead of yellow patches, the six legs were much more visible, and the wings had a slightly different color pattern, but had the same colors as in the 1960s.
