The fourth version of the Mothra adult marionette, this time dubbed Rainbow Mothra and featured in 1997’s “Rebirth of Mothra II”, was basically the same as the Mothra Leo version. The body, head, and legs were exactly the same as before, being that this was the refurbished marionette from 1996, and retained the “plush toy” look. The wings were also the same shape. In fact, the only real differences between the two versions (Mothra Leo and Rainbow Mothra) were the color of the eyes and wings. The eyes now glowed their classic blue color and a more colorful pattern that had nearly all the colors of the rainbow. No wonder this version was called "Rainbow Mothra".
