JOEL ROBINSON

Joel Robinson, once a janitor for Gizmonic Institute, was shot into space on the Satellite of Love by his boss, the evil Dr. Clayton Forrester, and forced to watch horrible movies. To keep himself from going insane, Joel builds four robots from parts of the SOL: Cambot, Gypsy, Tom Servo, and Crow. About 5 years later, Joel left the Sattelite of Love through an escape pod thanks to Gypsy and crash landed in the Australian outback. Another 5 years later he returned to the Satellite of Love to repair it because he heard that Dr. Forrester had rigged it to explode after 10 years. After he fixed the ship, Joel left once again to leave Mike, Crow, and Tom Servo to suffer through the horrible movies.

CROW T. ROBOT

Crow T. Robot, one of Joel's robot sidekicks, is the wisecracker of the group. Crow constantly hurls puns at the screen as he, Joel, Servo, and later Mike watch the movies. Joel usually rips one of Crows arms off if he doesn't stop using puns. Crow is always trying sceems or blowing himself up. He even redecorated the entire Satellite of Love when the crew was turned into balls of energy when they reached the edge of the universe. Crow, however, tired of this after 5 minutes and returned to his body on the SOL and redecorated it for 500 years until Mike, Tom Servo, Gypsy, and Cambot returned.

TOM SERVO

Tom Servo also accompanies Joel and Crow in the theater when they watch the movies. He has a deep voice which is pretty good for when he breaks into song. This little bot even built dozens of duplicates of himself. Servo can't move on his own much, when he does he uses a hovering system, otherwise, Mike or Joel must carry him into the theater.

GYPSY

Gypsy is the head of the Satellite of Love. She navigates the SOL through the never ending galaxy. She is big, purple, and she talks funny. Gypsy was loved by Joel, but Tom and Crow could really care less for her. Gypsy never participates in watching the movies, however.

CAMBOT

Not really much to say about Cambot. Joel built him to film what he and the other bots are doing up on the Satellite of Love. He is only seen once an episode in the opening credits of the show in a mirror.

DR. FORRESTER

Dr. Clayton Forrester is a mad scientist whose plan was to conquer the world by forcing people to watch horrible movies. He "abtucted" employee Joel Robinson as a test subject and made him watch the terrible movies first. Joel later escaped, this caused Dr. Forrester to send employee Mike Nelson. Dr. Forrester died after the show's 7th season (the character, not the actor).

TV's FRANK

TV's Frank is Dr. Forrester's blundering sidekick. He is kind of strange, and a bit of a pig. The Bots hate him, and Joel isn't all that fond of him either. He is usually at the other end of a beating by Dr. Forrester when something goes wrong and is usually the last person to push the button before the experiment ends for the day.

MIKE NELSON

After Joel escaped the Satellite of Love, the evil Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank needed a new man for their experiment, so they sent up Mike. Mike is Joel's replacement in the experiment,the robots didn't even seem to mind the lose of Joel. Anyway, Mike is just as good at cracking jokes as Joel was.
