Mini Biography
Jun Tazaki, who’s original name was Minoru Tanaka, was born on August 19, 1910. He made his acting debut during the 1930's and first gained popularity notoriety for his role in a police drama. Due to his physical appearance, Mr. Tazaki obtained many cameo or co-star roles as authority figures like newspaper editors or military commanders. Tazaki appeared in several sci-fi Toho films and sci-fi television shows during the 1950s – 1970s. Tazaki's last film role was in the film “Ran” in 1985, playing the character Seiji Ayabe. The film was directed by famed director Akira Kurosawa. Soon after the film was completed, Mr. Tazaki passed away on October 18, 1985 of lung cancer.
